Global business travel depends on policies that balance security, efficiency, and trust.
GBTA is calling for a balanced approach to proposed changes to the U.S. ESTA program — raising concerns about potential impacts on global business travel, U.S. competitiveness, and international data privacy compliance.
As business travel continues to drive economic growth and cross-border collaboration, it’s critical that new requirements:
• Support secure and efficient travel
• Avoid unintended barriers for global travelers
• Align with international data protection frameworks
GBTA will continue engaging with policymakers to ensure the voice of the global business travel industry is heard.
For clarity: Proposed changes would require travelers seeking to enter the U.S. from 42 Visa Waiver Program countries to provide significantly expanded personal, digital, and family information.
