It’s a new chapter for vertical aviation in Australia and Southeast Asia.

Vertical Aviation International (VAI) and the Australian Helicopter Industry Association ( AHIA ) have signed a letter of intent to explore the development of a new flagship vertical lift event for Australia and the broader Southeast Asia region.

The proposed event would bring together operators, manufacturers, suppliers, government stakeholders, and other industry professionals while expanding VAI’s global portfolio of premier vertical aviation events.

This partnership marks an exciting step toward strengthening the vertical aviation community across the region.

European Helicopter Association (EHA) Chairman Fredrik Kämpfe visited VAI headquarters last week to meet with VAI President and CEO François Lassale to discuss the two associations’ collaboration and strategic priorities facing the vertical aviation industry. VAI and EHA recently extended their partnership on EUROPEAN ROTORS, which has grown into Europe’s leading vertical aviation event since its founding in 2021.
