When I hit my thirties, I promised myself that I wouldn't work for anyone else past the age of 35. And so, last year, with that milestone looming, I quit my "real job" to become a consultant. A year later, I work whenever and however I want and I don't report to anyone but my clients. I love everything about working for myself - except for working from home. The social isolation and the distractio
n of household chores made it difficult to get much done. I knew I would be much more productive if I had somewhere to go every day, but the options of coffee shops full of strangers and traditional coworking spaces packed with people didn't appeal to me. I wanted to create a small, private space that was inspiring to work in, and share it with a few like-minded professionals, entrepreneurs, activists, and artists who would really benefit from working alone together. Our motto is to work for yourself, not by yourself. Today, our space has transformed from a small coworking office and social club into a community center and venue for a variety of meetings and events. We look forward to welcoming you into our coworking community, or hosting your next conference or social gathering.
