Most conversations about AI in federal health assume the value is clinical.

The inventory says otherwise. DHA identified more than 400 AI use cases in fiscal year 2026. Only a minority sit in clinical care. The majority are claims analysis, contracting, software development, and IT operations.

This Fourth of July marks something rare: 250 years.
