We are looking to add another Lawn Care Technician to our growing team servicing Southern Maine.

This position will involve:
• Lawn fertilization applications
• Tick & mosquito treatments
• Aeration and overseeding
• Operating company equipment/trucks
• Communicating with customers

We are looking for someone who is:
• Dependable
• Motivated
• Professional
• Comfortable working outdoors independently
• Has a valid driver’s license

Today was all about taking a step back from the busy season, relaxing, and showing appreciation for our team.

We spent the day striper fishing then lunch at Hobbs Harborside with the crew good laughs, good memories, and a well deserved day on the water. We’re grateful for the hard work they put in every single day and everything they do for Hartford’s Lawn Solutions.

Lots of fish caught today, but congrats to Adam for landing the biggest fish at 45” and taking home the $500 first place prize! Aaron came in a close second with a 42” fish winning $100. 🎣

Seeing some dandelions or weeds popping up in your lawn already? Here’s why

Our Round 1 applications are focused on getting down fertilizer and crabgrass pre-emergent early in the season. Timing is critical for crabgrass prevention, so we apply before soil temperatures warm up too much. At that early stage, many lawns don’t yet have visible weeds to spray. Simply put we can’t treat weeds that haven’t emerged yet. As temperatures rise, some broadleaf weeds like dandelions may begin appearing between visits before your Round 2 application. That’s completely normal this time of year and does NOT mean your lawn was skipped or untreated. Round 2 is when we begin targeting those actively growing weeds, and throughout the season we continue monitoring and treating weeds as needed to keep your lawn looking its best. Lawn care is a process, not a one-time treatment and early spring weeds are very common here in Maine.
