Wisconsin’s oldest licensed winery… founded in 1967! The Schmiling brothers that grew up in von Stiehl Winery now own and operate it. The older brother, Aric, utilizes the most modern equipment known to winemaking as he artfully crafts fine wines. The younger brother, Brad, likes romance and history and manages the business. laces, features a tasting room, a 10,000 square foot production facility, three Civil war era underground limestone tunnels and a spacious outdoor terrace with Lake Michigan views. Von Stiehl’s 30+ grape and fruit wine recipes use top quality ingredients from local fruit (Door County cherries), as well as West Coast-grown grapes (Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon).

Upon initial observation, what may seem odd at Wet Whistle Wine Fest are all the costumes! We don’t ask anyone to dress up, yet it never ceases to amaze every year! This year, the event will be taking place on Friday, September 18th from 5PM-9PM, and Saturday, September 19th from 10AM-6PM. Come to the wine fest and see it for yourself!
