LA-AFF (Los Angeles Asian Film Festival) hosted the Asian film festival Golden Diamond Award at the Pacific Palms Hotel in Los Angeles in December of 2021. Film industries from all over the world participated in the award ceremony which included Golden Diamond Award judges and the contestants of the shortlisted films.
In response to the drastic changes in recent years in the internationalization of the film and the television industry and the pluralism of broadcasting platforms. Hollywood has not changed the spirit of content as king but has developed various opportunities and awards for different films, original television contents and production teams around the world so that they can shine on the international stage.
Chi-Yang Michael Chiu, a new generation of producer from Taiwan studied Film Production and Producing in Los Angeles. Led by Dr. Debby Pyng Jou founder of Apollo Media Entertainment Group, Chi-Yang Michael Chiu on behalf of the team to receive the Best Documentary Short Film Award in the ceremony. He created an excellent path, new cooperation model and opportunity for future cooperation and integration between Taiwan and Hollywood’s international films and television production elites.
He hopes that in the future, all of the films and television contents in Taiwan will be able to coordinate and collaborate with multiple parties in the early stage of production. Which will create more opportunities for developing content, producing shoots, co-financing, division of copyright sales with the top and emerging productions of the United States and Canada, and film and television holding companies.
