Hello good people....as you know Johnene and I sold the restaurant last week and we are happily "Moving On"! As soon as Facebook approves the removal of the restaurant site, we will be taking it down. I will still have my personal site. Wow, allot of good memories when I looked at all we did together on the restaurant's page site! That place will never be the same! So, Johnene and I are already looking in the rear view mirror as we move forward toward our next ventures, goals, and simply enjoying each others company with our kids! Allot to do and a ton planned for this summer....and it will be a joy! Thanks all....God Bless....Have a Wonderful Life!

(From left to right) Stephen Gray, Anthony Candiello and Robert Steigerwald

Residents were recognized for their remarkable work and dedication to the township at a meeting on Monday, January 27. The Board of Commissioners acknowledged Robert Steigerwald, Anthony Candiello and Stephen Gray each with a resolution. Hopewell Township presented Bob Steigerwald with an award for his volunteer work in the township. The award, which is now named the Bob Steigerwald award, will be given annually to the township’s most exceptional volunteer. Anthony Candiello, a Senior at Hopewell Area High School, volunteered as a Camp Lakewood counselor at Hopewell Community Park during the months of June through August in 2013. Stephen Gray, owner of the Kane Road Drive-In, was recognized for his long-standing devotion to Hopewell Township by operating his business in the township for 59 years.

Hello good people. The next few days are going to be frigid and JW Halls will again offer our support for anyone having heating problems at home. We will be opening up at 4pm tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan 28 and Wednesday, Jan 29, but will have folks at the restaurant at 2pm. Come on up and stay warm and enjoy some hot coffee and warm soup. Also, if you are a police officer, medical personal, road crew, or any public works individual working outside in this weather, come on in tomorrow or Wednesday and enjoy as well. Hello everyone. Just so you know JW Halls will be open at 4 pm today for dinner. BUT....if you have any family in the area who needs a place to keep warm, due to pipes freezing, etc. please tell them to come on up. We will provide them a place to rest and keep warm. We will also give them some warm coffee, tea, and homeade soup. We are all blessed to be sitting in a warm place....lets help those who are not at this time. So, if you know of anyone in need please tell them to come on up starting at 4pm today...we will help!
