Rocco J. DeMercurio is included on the Soldiers and Sailors Monument at Memorial Park. His name was included in a separate plaque for the Vietnam War, after the plaques for WWI and WWII. Do you know when his plaque was added to the monument?

"My husband and I have lived at 9 Crescent Pl since 2015 and have always been interested in the history of our home. It was built in 1922, but we don't know much more than that. We would be very interested to see if you have any information on our house or pictures of what it may have looked like in the past. The earliest photos we have seen of the house were from the real estate listing from 2006. Any information you might have would be greatly appreciated!

O H P Archer purchased property at the intersection of Franklin Turnpike and East Allendale Avenue sometime in the 1860s. This property would eventually be the land used for his church and home. Does anyone know when the property was purchased and where the property lines were at that time?

This is the 1848 survey by Jospeh Warner Allen that established the Paterson and Dover Rail Road and the train stop that became the nucleus for the borough of Allendale. The train stop was named ALLENDALE in his honor.
