FROM Joan Lunden

"After a little summer break, I’m heading back out on the road with JOAN: Life Beyond the Script!

One of my favorite parts of sharing this book has been getting to meet so many of you along the way, and I’m excited that the book tour continues next week.

I hope to see some of you out there this Fall!"

On this somber day, the 25th Anniversary of the September 11 attacks, in recognition and immense gratitude for all the first responders, including the women first responders that day, for whom I had the great honor of performing, several of whom have become lifelong friends - . Thank you.
My dear friend Mary Carouba and co-author and fire fighter Susan Hagan searched these sheroes out after hearing all the media mention of the "brave boys" at Ground Zero, knowing there were women on duty that day as well. Mary & Susan connected these women with each other - a profound community. Check out their stories in this powerful book Women at Ground Zero.

August 26 is Women’s Equality Day!

On this day in 1920, the 19th amendment was certified, forbidding any state from denying the right to vote of citizens based on s*x. While this was a step forward for women’s rights, we recognize that women of color were not included in this amendment and the harm it perpetuated.

Women are still facing challenges in the USA today, with legislation and attitudes both in our homes and in congress withholding a future of equality and equity, especially for trans women of color. We see you, and you deserve the right to vote for leaders who support you. 🫶🫶

It’s important to be informed, be active, and exercise your right to vote in the midterms this fall for candidates who support and uplift all women everywhere. 💪

Joan Lunden breaks her silence: Explosive memoir details s*xual harassment, career sabotage

Joan Lunden (https://www.aol.com/articles/good-morning-america-host-joan-191232699.html) isn’t holding back. In her searing new memoir, “JOAN: Life Beyond the Script” — out today — the “Good Morning America” legend pulls no punches, alleging that an early boss pressured her into an uncomfortable situation on Fire Island
(https://ca.news.yahoo.com/gma-host-joan-lunden-alleges-164359019.html) and then systematically torpedoed her stories after she refused his advances. The veteran journalist’s raw account shines a harsh light on the systemic abuse she endured long before becoming a household name, making this one of the most explosive celebrity memoirs (https://artthreat.net/5612-79068-joan-lunden-reveals-tv-boss-propositioned-her-then-killed-her-stories/) in recent memory.
