We are excited to announce that we have added an underwater drone, Triton-1, to our department. This will be extremely beneficial to our department. We have also added a sonar unit to our boat. We hope this will also be beneficial to our mutual aid departments as well. Members will be training on them over the next few weeks. We would like to thank our Trustees and township residents for their support.

Sunday, firefighters went to the yearly Alliance Firefighters Local 480 Pump In and Muster for Carnation Week. Crews did events with other local firefighters. Lexington FD took home three awards. They got 2nd in the Water Barrel, 1st in the Pumper Pull, and 1st in the Mock Alarm. They also participated in the annual parade. We hope everyone has a great Carnation Week!

We are pleased to announce the addition of K9 Ember to our department. K9 Ember, a three-year-old German Shepherd, has successfully completed her certification in Trailing through the National Association for Search and Rescue. She was rescued from the Dog Warden's office and subsequently commenced her training with her handler, Bobbi Jo.

Our department now boasts certified K9 units specializing in Human Remains Detection, Live Find Area Search, and Trailing.

On June 9th, the Alliance Police Department, Lexington Township Fire Department, fire department's SAR K9 Team, and Portage County Dive Team conducted a comprehensive search of a designated area. The location was searched for several hours utilizing sonar technology and dive teams. Regrettably, no pertinent evidence related to the ongoing investigation was uncovered at this site. We respectfully request the public's continued assistance in handing out flyers to support the search for Nate. Residents that live on 225 and in adjacent vicinities are encouraged to review their security camera footage for any indications of Nate or his vehicle. Furthermore, we kindly ask that individuals inspect their properties and outbuildings. We appreciate your cooperation in respecting private property and business establishments throughout this search effort. Should you locate his vehicle, please refrain from approaching it and instead contact 911 immediately. Our collective goal is to facilitate Nate's safe return to his family.
