So we’re going to start a little segment introducing members of the operation and a little run down about them.

So without further ado, I present to you…….

Ryan!

Also known as Teeter, Scooter(our favorite)

Ryan’s duties includes fixing anything that needs fixed, discing, running wagons and anything else he can get his hands on.

For the last 13 years, Ryan has been a part of this farm in more ways than most people will ever see. He’s been running wagons, the parts getter, the extra set of hands, the guy you can count on when something breaks, and the one who somehow always ends up getting asked to “run and grab one more thing.” 😂

Growing up, Ryan was raised at the racetracks.
Introducing him into the farm was a breeze, youd think he turn dirt for a living!

We have watched him drop whatever he’s doing because the farm needed him. He’s been there through the good seasons, the stressful ones, the breakdowns, the long harvest days, and everything in between.

While Ryan isn’t Farming, or Working.
He enjoys Racing, fishing, hunting.

We appreciate you loving this crazy life just like the rest of us!

So we’re going to start a little segment introducing members of the operation and a little run down about them.

Mikaela!

Mik,Mikaela,Squeak,Mikey Moose,Hillbilly

Bunch of different names same gal.

Mik is generation number 5 to work the farm.

Mik is basically #2 of the whole deal, Miks duties include but not limited to, Mill operations, bin sweeping, field inspection, drink and snack provider, lead wrench, customer relations, buddy seat expert, field fix extrordinare, and a million other jobs she doesn’t realize she volunteers for.

Dar and Noel kick started her into this life at an early age. She has been involved in everything from collecting seed bags flying across the yard at a young age, to the farm stand, hay and straw operations, pumpkin patch, certified seed, and cattle.

When Mik isn’t working the farm she enjoys baking, spending time with her hounds, going to the races, and running 5ks and half marathons (I know what your thinking, I thought the same thing)

Dar!

Dar,D1,Darwin,Ole Boy,Red.

He’s had many names throughout time.

Dar is a 4th Generation Farmer.

Owner, Operator, Chief Mechanical Engineer, Seed Technician, Applicator, Quality Control, Mill Operator, On Site Meteorologist. He’s basically the one stop shop.

Dar was born into the agricultural industry. His father Noel instilled a passion into him at a very early age.

Over the years Dar has been involved in Sheep, Pigs, Cattle, and Row crops.

Focusing heavily into Certified Seed in the early 2000s when he invested in himself and purchased his own Crippen Fanning Mill.

Since that time Dar has made a go of it, raising, harvesting, cleaning, treating, and shipping seed all over the region.

When Dar isn’t working around the farm his favorite things to do are spend time with his pups, and auctions. Boy does he love auctions.

The best way to explain him is my favorite quote from him.

“Every days a holiday, Every meals a feast”

🌱 Rolling up on 20 YEARS in the certified seed business! 🌱

20 years of hard work, long days, learning, growing, and constantly improving the process. Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at how we get it done! 👇

We run the seed from our wagon, out of the grain bin and into the mill bin. From there, it heads through another auger to go through the treatment process, then into our clean/treated bin, and finally into totes—ready to go! 🌾

It’s pretty cool to see all the moving parts come together, and even cooler to look back at how far we’ve come over the last 20 years.

20 years in the seed business and we’re still growing! 🌱
