Happy Spring everyone!! It’s FINALLY starting to warm up a bit - it’s been a long, cold winter - but it’s still staying pretty chilly at night. It’s taking a while for the massive snow mounds to melt, especially on the north & east sides of homes. Its safe to say this spring is lagging at least two weeks behind “normal” of the last few years.

As a lot of you know already - we’ll be out of town from 10-18 May. If you haven’t already scheduled your place to be open before we leave, please call or text Mark on his cell 970-901-2773 if you’re coming up before 18 May. We’ll schedule in the time allowed before we’re back at it on 19 May.

Wishing you all the best and we can’t wait to see you for the summer season 2023!!

Well, hello “Spring”! Upper temps in the 40’s and lows in the upper 20’s. This why the old timers always told me to plant outdoor flowers after Father’s Day 😳 ❄️ 🥰 (this is after some of it melted)

As the days get shorter (and colder) the canyon is winding down. But we keep counting our blessings that we get to live in one of the most beautiful places in this country. We loved seeing everyone this summer and we’re looking forward to an awesome 2021!!

Thank you to all that have served. God bless the fallen.

COVID-19 update for Gunnison County: as of 19 Mar 2020 the county is closed for tourism. The ski area has shut down for the 19/20 season. We are considered a hotspot. If you are thinking about coming to your mountain retreat to self-quarantine you might want to rethink it. The restaurants are shut down except for delivery and pick up. The grocery has been spartan. If you would like to keep abreast on the daily updates consider "liking" the Gunnison Regional 911 Center and the Gunnison Valley Health FB pages. Don't hesitate to email us at [email protected]. Stay safe, wash your hands, and keep that safe distance of 6 feet or more from others.

This was a small part of the herd! They were magnificent! I would guess there were close to 300 in total. This is the group that ran to Allred’s property for this photo shoot.
