In a very competitive field of 35+ Envirothon teams across Kentucky, Warren County/WKU Schools had 4 teams out of 15 that made it to the state competition at the North Central 4H Camp in Carlisle, KY. Out of 10 medals 🥇 handed out, our teams took home 7 of them!
🥇 The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science Envirothon team placed 1st overall and is headed to the National Envirothon Competition in New Brunswick Canada in July! They received 1st place in forestry, wildlife and current issue.
🏅 Our South Warren FFA Envirothon team placed 1st in the FFA competition and 2nd overall. They will now move on to the National FFA Envirothon Competition in Indianapolis, IN. They received 1st place in soils and 4th place in forestry.
🏅 Our Greenwood FFA Envirothon Team made a great showing and placed 2nd in forestry.
🏅 Our Gatton Academy Jr Envirothon Team placed 8th overall and placed 5th in forestry.
I’m so proud of these kids with all the hard work they have put into this competition and with what they have accomplished this year. It was an honor to work with them in the field of forestry and I look forward to being with them as they represent Kentucky at the National Envirothon Competition. Warren County Conservation District
