Off the subject! On the "soapbox". About health insurance or "healthcare" as Congress would have you believe. 8 years ago through the Obama administration the government decided to take over, regulate and control the health insurance market in America. The American people did not ask for this intervention nor did they want it and worse of all it was made mandatory, that alone makes me hate it. This was forced on the American people with a boatload of promises, none of which were true. Healthcare in America is a for profit industry that requires doctors and nurses years of dedication and financial sacrifice to be a part of, and yes profit from. Many factors play a part in the cost of healthcare for Americans, from drug research to state of the art medical equipment and facilities. So, we have insurance companies that are willing to provide policies that will make the healthcare we hold so dear and Private! more affordable for the average American. When the government got involved in trying to control the health insurance industry, they pulled entitlements like Medicaid and Medicare into their illeagl and unconstitutional mandatory health insurance regulation to make it nearly impossible to stop or even change, without paying a high political price. The American people have gone to the polls and cast our ballot largely to stop this take over of our freedoms. Since the election most of the media coverage tries to make the American people believe that the election was illegitimate and not in step with America's will and further more those we elected choose to ignore the will of the people that put them there. I have said all that to say this, REPEAL Obamacare, get government out of our healthcare and health insurance industry. Care for the elderly and indigent through Medicare and Medicaid as before and let free Enterprise take care of the rest. If you are able bodied, get out and get a job and take care of yourself, it is not the responsibility of the taxpayers to feed, house and provide healthcare for those who are able but not willing to work......That is all.
