Toxic Thoughts - we all have them. How many of you feel those toxic thoughts on the daily and then you have friends and family saying those same toxic thoughts? It doesn’t help - does it?
How do we change our thought process? With practice. Easier said than done but I will guide you down that path.

Have you done anything for yourself today? Shower or sit in the tub? Read a book, your favorite hobby, sit outside, binge your favorite show, sleep?
All are excellent choices - the point is: do something for yourself. It’s not too late. Sit and take a deep breathe and say
“I am strong, I am a warrior, I will overcome, and I can take whatever is thrown at me”
Sleep well, my friends, and remember who YOU are!

First, how are you feeling? Overwhelmed yet? I am! We just ended Halloween and I already feel peer pressured to put up my Christmas tree. - I won’t though -
I think holidays, for warriors like us- ARE EXTREMELY HARD! Maybe we want to see family…maybe we don’t. We crave to people around family and friends but the thought makes us nauseous. Can I get an AMEN!
Over the next 5 days, starting Monday, I will post an exercise we can do each day to help us prepare, NOT ONLY THE HOLIDAYS, but also in our everyday.
I hope you log on each day and join me on this journey to helping get through the holiday season and beyond. You can do this warriors. I BELIEVE IN YOU

Hello, fellow warriors! I’ve missed you and thought about you daily. How are you today? Remember, today is a day of REST. Yeah, Sunday is a great day of self-care but self-care looks different to everyone. If it’s cuddling with your pets in bed...DO IT. A bath or shower...DO IT. But don’t let others “inspirational” Sunday posts make you feel bad if your self-care is just chilling and zoning out for the day. It’s okay! Just don’t live there everyday. I’m here for you and rooting you on.

Setbacks suck. They make you feel like you are the unluckiest person in the world! YOU AREN’T THE ONLY ONE!! We all go through these setbacks at one time or multiple times and it always feels like it’s the end...like we will be stuck in that situation and feeling forever. It won’t last forever - I promise! Have faith, talk to someone ( I am here if you need me), and believe in yourself...YOU ARE A WARRIOR!

Anxiety sucks. It’s a bitch and sometimes no amount of anti anxiety meds will help. It’s up to us and we are WARRIORS and can overcome whatever episode or day we are going through. I believe in you. Don’t let this bring you down and onto a rollercoaster. Have faith that it will pass.

I went and watched “Angel Has Fallen” yesterday ( it was great) and the president in the movie said this. It was so powerful to me and I felt it would move you too.
Having a mental illness, we ALL make mistakes that we wish we hadn’t done or we were honest with our loved ones when we should of been; but it doesn’t matter what we did. Yes, it defines us, but what defines us more is how we handle the situation after. How we overcome it. How we become stronger warriors and how that moment allows us to change our mistake and come our better for it.
On this self care Sunday, make a list of moments that define you and on the other side, how it made you better or what you learned front it. If you don’t have an answer, start to work on that. But, foremost, cheer for your accomplishments. We are WARRIORS...don’t forget that!

We ALL do this! On the daily. It’s a horrible habit and it feeds into our insecurities. Having a mental illness makes it even worse because we dwell on these assumptions even more and it eats away at us everyday till we are tiny humans. DON’T BELIEVE ASSUMPTIONS until you know it’s true and then deal with it how you see fit. However, more times that not, it is nothing but an assumption. These assumptions will DRAG YOU DOWN till you’re just a puddle. You are a WARRIOR and warriors don’t let assumptions drag them down. I believe in you...believe in yourself too.

How To Handle Criticism.

We deal with everyday. From our significant others, our kids, parents, work...at least 1 hour out of the day we have some criticizing us. It Blows!!
We need to remember there are 2 kinds...the ones that help us grow and the ones that put us down. The people who put us down are those with the most insecurities...remember that and pay know mind. Just readjust your crown and move on.
Good critiques help us grow. It’s from people who love us and have the desire to help you fix that crown without anyone noticing. Learn to recognize the difference and practice this daily. I love you Warriors!!

As you know, triggers can be anything. Someone bringing something up from the past, a picture, a show, or a movie...the list goes on.
“13 Reasons Why” just restarted and I know this show can be a major trigger to some. I have my own movies that are huge triggers for me and will put me in the pit of depression and cry for hours but I know this show has so many topics that it can raise all sorts of triggers. My suggestion, don’t watch it. If you do, don’t watch it alone and be open to talking about it with the person next to you so you can process your feelings. Processing our feelings is the only way we can truly heal.
Don’t be afraid to talk about what triggers you; it not only helps you process but helps the people who love you be better about not bringing up those triggers around you. Be an awesome WARRIOR
today.

I see so many posts about feeling not loved or cared about. That is our disorder LYING to us again! Someone, somewhere is loving you right now and cares about you (probably multiple people). We just choose not to see it. Don’t let our disorder/disease stop you from being loved. Maybe a person you care for isn’t being what you need at the moment but they are dealing with their own battles too. Instead of looking at the one person who isn’t giving what you need, look for the one person that is and reach out. I know many times we feel alone, but we aren’t alone! Today, make a list of people who care and love you...who will be there when you need someone...you’ll be surprised my WARRIOR!
