Our 15 business assistance centers provide customized, confidential, no-fee business advice to entrepreneurs & small businesses with up to 500 employees.

This program is supported by federal funding. https://iowasbdc.org/federal-funding-disclosure/ Since 1981, America's SBDC Iowa has been counseling and training business people and entrepreneurs. We provide no-fee, confidential, customized business advice in all 99 Iowa counties, and are the only nationally-accredited business assistance organization in Iowa. Individual counseling and training workshops cover a variety of business topics including, but not limited to, new business guidance, business plan development, loan proposal assistance, financing options, market research services, export assistance, cash flow projections, accounting, QuickBooks, human resource management, business growth and succession strategies, strategic planning, business continuity planning and disaster counseling. We also provide free market research and connect clients to subject matter experts in a variety of fields. Entrepreneurs and existing businesses that work with America's SBDC Iowa grow significantly faster than the average Iowa business. The state center, located at Iowa State University, subcontracts with other universities, community colleges, and other organizations to provide a network of 15 regional business assistance centers throughout Iowa. We are part of a national network - America's SBDC.

America’s SBDC Iowa (SBDC) is pleased to announce Anna Woodward as the new North Central Iowa SBDC Regional Director!

In her new role, Woodward will lead the regional SBDC and work directly with entrepreneurs and small business owners throughout North Central Iowa, providing confidential, no-cost business counseling and connecting businesses with resources to help them start, grow, and succeed.

The NCI SBDC serves businesses and entrepreneurs across 12 counties: Audubon, Buena Vista, Calhoun, Carroll, Greene, Guthrie, Hamilton, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Sac, Webster and Wright. Services include business planning, financial projections, accessing capital and financial assistance, marketing, human resources, permits and licensing, business transition and succession planning, and other individualized business support.
