Most known for his true love of constantly looking to shake up his roster, he has won Championships in both high stakes leagues as well as the most gruling of friends and family leagues. Fantasy Advice- Always look to improve your roster. Too many teams sit tight for 16 weeks and lose ground as a result.

2 Deep Dive PPR Plays for Week 2

Here are a couple names that I think will greatly out perform their average ranking position in week 2.

Shane Vereen- As the preferred passing down back playing in a game that sure looks like another New Orleans shootout, I suspect Vereen will see plenty of playing time in this one. The Saints defense is every bit as bad as you think they are and Vereen should see his far share of of touches either while playing catch up or in an attempt to keep up.

8 carries 41 yards 5 Rec. 57 yds 1 td.

Emmanuel Sanders- One thing Indianapolis proved that they can do in week 1 is score points. Well that and their defense is laughably bad. Add in a far less than 100% Demaryious Thomas and I can easily see a scenario where Sanders finishes the week inside the top 15 wide receivers.

10 targets 7 rec 89 yds 1 td.

If only there was a way for the NFL to cut the commercials in half!

09/18/2015

It makes absolutely zero sense that C.J Anderson has been benched for Ronnie Hillman other than Gary Kubiak never wanted him as his RB to begin with. The Broncos offense has been down right awful and in absolutely zero way was it Anderson's fault. Yet here he is 5 quarters and 17 carries into the season and already benched after destroying the league the second half of last season.

Not even a carry on the 1 yard line where he is by far the bigger meaner back inside the 5.

Toe Injury?...,hell no the guy hasn't even shown the slightest limp. Gary Kubiak doesn't know s**t about football....likely!

Does anyone else see the flaws in Daily league analysis???

What good is getting a bargain on Davante Adams for $5,500 or John Brown for $6000 this week on fan duel if every fantasy outlet in America is screaming it from the roof tops?

Daily fantasy leagues were designed for the fantasy savvy to have a place to apply that knowledge in a gambling setting not to tell every Johnny and Marry No clue who to start every week.

Would you allow that bulls**t to happen in a poker room? Doubt it!

Staying the course or Cashing in?

We are now a quarter through the regular season and hopefully most of you out there are in a good position to perhaps take advantage of a few struggling teams in your league. So comes the time of year when difficult decisions need to be made on struggling stars. To cut ties or not to cut ties...let's dive in!

Lesean McCoy- largely drafted as a top-five overall pick LeShan McCoy has mostly disappointed especially the last two weeks. Playing in a high-powered offense with many mouths to feed Chip Kelly appears to be turning away from the ground game in favor of throwing the football all over the yard. As feared coming into the season McCoy is also losing much of the passing down work to Darren Sproles. Add in the fact that this is more of a Jekyll and Hyde offense than any other in the NFL and it looks like a very mixed bag of inconsistency for McCoy moving forward. Sure he will have his monster weeks but I'm fearful he will also have many clunkers along the way. Not what you would expect from a top-five overall pick. I'm fearful he will not even finish inside the top 10 running backs in a PPR format. If you can still find an owner willing to pay first round value for McCoy I would certainly consider shopping him now! Antonio Brown, Jordy Nelson, Dez Bryant, Calvin Johnson, Gio Bernard, Matt Forte Jimmy Graham A.J Green Julius Thomas, Demarco Murray these are all names I would take for McCoy straight up today in ppr leagues.

Cordarrelle Patterson- i'm staying the course with Patterson moving forward. I'm not ready to write him off and I think Teddy Bridgewater overtime will realize that patterson is his best option and the two will have better chemistry the more the two work together. I must admit however I am a bit surprised by the production Wright had this past Sunday although I can see why Bridgewater would be prone to target him often as the two have been working together as second stringers for most of the season and in preseason. There's a lot of good things to take away from Sunday's winning effort against a good Atlanta team and Patterson is due for a monster week as this offense continues to gel. I have to believe Norv Turner starts to feed him at some point and the big points will start coming. Holding strong as a low end 2 wide receiver.

Is there a more punchable face in fantasy football then Michael Fabiano?
Have you ever really listened to his reasoning for his weekly start and sit columns? He uses numbers from previous seasons against certain divisions in particular weather conditions, time zones, what a guy ate for dinner the night before and if a guy had a fight with his wife within 24 hours of kickoff... Perhaps I am exaggerating a bit but my point is valid.
I ask you how much stock do you take into account with what Matt fortes statistical pattern is against AFC East opponents on the road in the month of September on real grass when the temperature is over 70 degrees? If you answered zero than you are part of the 99.9% of the rest of us who could care less!

The NFL changes at a lightning fast pace and is hard enough to predict on a weekly basis never mind calculating data as ludicrous as Fabiano subjects us to on a weekly basis. I challenge you to read his start/sit column this week and pay attention to his "logic" if nothing else it will give you a good chuckle.
And another favorite gem of mine is when Fabiano blows us all away by telling you to start guys against the bottom 4 defenses....and get this sit those against top 4 defenses.

And of course last but not least his "bold prediction" on Sunday mornings! I think this week it was start Donald Brown vs Jacksonville a consensus top 7 running back in almost every rankings list this week! Way to be bold Mike! next week stay tuned for his bold prediction where get this Peyton Manning tops two touchdown passes!.....mind. Blown!

Seriously how is this guy employed by the NFL?

Injury Nightmares and Bye Week Jail!

Playing in a deep league and looking for help at a flex or position heavy on bye weeks?
Here are a few names to consider to start off your bench or grab on the waiver wire to plug and play in shallow leagues.

Eric Ebron-
The freakishly gifted 1st round draft pick out of North Carolina just may be let loose this weekend in New York. Number 2 tight end Joseph Fauria will be out in this one and Calvin Johnson comes into the game questionable with an ankle injury. Although he is expected to play it is still possible he is used sparingly...or at least in a lesser capacity to his norm. Starting tight end Brandon Pettigrew has been the model of so so and has done little to nothing special in encouraging the coaching staff to grow his role. The New York Jets have been excellent against the run through the first 3 weeks and I don't foresee the Lions trying to change that trend week 4. This is where the 6'4" Ebron comes into the picture. Reports out of the Lions camp have already suggested that he may see twice as many snaps this week than any of the first 3. And with Mathew Stafford sure to sling it around the yard upwards of 45 times I can easily see a scenario where Ebron walks away as this weeks Jordan Mathews. With tight ends like Dennis Pitta and Jordan Reed injured guys like Jason Witten struggling and high end option like Julius Thomas and Jordan Cameron on byes I am playing the upside Ebron wherever I can!
Week 4 outlook
5rec 65yds 1td

Trent Richardson-
Before you yell at your computer just here me out first! Richardson has been awful and there is little reason to think he turns things around at first glance, however I'm rolling him out there this week in a deep league in a flex role. Tennessee makes there money shutting down elite wide receiver talent however has and will continue to struggle in stopping the ground game. With Jake Locker likely out this weekend Tennessee will struggle to put up points against a better than advertised Colts defense. What this means for Richardson is volume, on the ground, via check downs in the flat and in the second half during clock kill mode. Even if the score remains close I am forecasting Indy to ground and pound with plenty of volume to make both Bradshaw and Richardson valuable week 4. My forecast even has a late Richardson 1yd td run in it! (To be fair I think it takes him 2 try's to get in)
Week 4 outlook:
18car. 70yds 3rec 21yds 1 td.

Terrance Williams-
Thus far Williams has been mostly disappointing. Even with 2 touchdowns in 3 weeks he has left many wanting more...much more. After all it is in the volume that makes for a great weekly fantasy wide receiver right!? I'm here to tell you to stay the course and a monster week is coming very soon....maybe even this week. To this point Dallas has run he football at nauseam resembling nothing like what was expected from new OC and former Lion Scott Linehan. This week Dallas will have no choice but to air it out in an effort to keep pace with Drew Brees and company. With plenty of attention fixed on Dez Bryant and Jason Witten playing a step slower these days look for Williams to see his most extensive action of the young season.

Talking Breakouts!
(2 of my favorite breakout candidates for 2014)

Every year we all want to know who the next big thing is going to be and we want to identify them before our opponents do! This year the draft was full of potential breakout stars and in large part kept me away from revealing to much until my own draft had concluded. Here is a peek at the guys I was targeting on draft day and in many cases took ahead of aging vets that have likely seen their best days come and go. Remember guys and girls its all about today and tomorrow....not yesterday!

Michael Floyd-
This kid is your prototypical NFL wide receiver blessed with speed, size and an ideal situation. Look for the third year wide out to make the leap in a big way. After quietly posting a 65 1040 yard season a year ago it is not out of the realm of possibility that he over takes the great Larry Fitzgerald! I still believe Fitz is the preferred redzone option however don't be surprised if Floyd takes a few more long ones to the house this fall.

2014 outlook 78 rec. 1,235 yards 8 tds

Cordarelle Patterson- All Spring long I just wanted every fantasy analyst to shut up about him. Every where you looked his name was on the sleeper/breakout list and more often than not he was the headliner. So much so was he hyped up this pre season that his ADP skyrocketed into Andre Johnson, Roddy White, Larry Fitzgerald territory! Crazy right!? Well maybe...but I didn't think so, in fact I reached for Patterson at pick number 28 in my high stacks league knowing he would never return to me in round 4. The thought of him playing for someone else was just not in the cards for me. The speed, size, huge play ability, lousy defense, shootout division, Norv Turner offense, you name it guys! I wanted strike that NEEDED to be in on this guy. Get out your purple because it's going to be very very entertaining to watch this kid!

Outlook: 71 rec. 1,136 yds
210 yds rushing 10 total tds

Let's here your breakout candidates below!

CRUSHIN ON JAY CUTLER OUNCE AGAIN... Will I ever quiet you!?

Let's just say what we are all thinking When we look at Jay Cutler.......dudes got great hair! Well that and Mind if I throw a giant haymaker at his face!? And of course we hate you as our fantasy quarterback! But wait...could it be that this is the year Jay cracks the top 8 signal callers? Could he actually play all 16 games and deliver arguably the best value in all of your draft?

I say YES! Let's take a deeper look into 2013 and why 2014 will be the year.

1. 2013 was Lovie Smith free and with that so was his lets win 12-10 philosophy. The addition of offensive minded head couch Marc Trestman revitalized that offense in exciting fashion and also helped turn Journeyman Josh Mccown into a Joe Montana look alike....well sort of.

2. Arguably the best wide receiver due in all of football in Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery (both in my top 8 pre draft WR rankings). Anyone notice last year that when Cutler stopped force feeding Marshall and started to spread the ball around to both weapons equally Jay was dominant!?

3. Arguably the best pass catching running back in football. Matt Forte is a true every down back that keeps defenses honest and constantly guessing. His importance to the offense is huge as is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and turn a simple 5 yard dump off into a 50 yard gain.

4. Tight End Martellus Bennett is dangerous as the fourth option on this roster. He has good size and is a great redzone target especially with defenses so concerned with Marshall, Jeffery and Forte.

5. The division is loaded with high powered offenses with Green Bay and Detroit looking to be putting up a ton of points this season. I see a few divisional shootouts on the horizon, and of course they also play the highly generous Minnesota Vikings twice..."which is nice" (insert best Bill Murray voice)

Let go of the past and welcome Jay back with open arms. When quarterbacks start flying off the board just sit back and keep stacking up on running backs and Wide Receivers and take Cutler a round or 2 or even 3 later. If this isn't the year he delivers 4,500+ yards with 30+ tds then it just isn't going to happen for him. And my guess is many guys in your league won't touch him on draft day.

THE PERFECT STORM...

Last year around this time I not only wrote about the dominant player Demaryious Thomas would be with Manning under center, but I also ventured to say he would be the top dog in fantasy at the position by seasons end...which he was. Now that may seem like it was an easy call to make now but let's not forget that 12 months ago there were many question marks in Denver. Will manning be the same guy? How will the targets be divided between the many options available? Will the weather factor in during fantasy playoff time?
Those questions were all answered and the rest is history!

Well this year I have turned my attention over to another #88 this time in Big D. Things sure do look to be falling into place for the freakishly gifted 25 year old to take that next step in securing the #1 spot in 2014. Fresh off of a 93 catch 1200 yard 13 td season Bryant looks poised to be the true focal point in a pass heavy system. Dallas was ripped on several occasions last season for under utilizing Bryant's size and versatility. He is one of those freakishly gifted athletes that can make plays no matter the coverage,(This is a key attribute the #1 fantasy wideout MUST possess) and the Cowboys were slow in realizing this in 2013. Look for Jerry Jones to apply steady pressure on his staff in getting #88 the ball early and often. The supporting cast is good enough to keep defenses honest, the quarterback play is very good (lay off Tony) and the defense is atrocious....add it all up and I see
108 rec 1,850 yds and 14 tds tops at the position in 2014.

Do you have the stones to take Bryant ahead of Calvin Johnson in your draft?
