Helping individuals and communities re-ground, re-orient, and re-generate in times of ecological and social crisis. With over 20 years of experience, I guide individuals, organizations, and communities through transformative, place-based learning journeys that address solastalgia—the despair that arises from climate shifts, social upheaval, and losses of home and environment. My Core-Respondence m
odel blends eco-social awareness, spirituality, holistic mind-body-place methods, critical pedagogy, and the arts. Together, these tools foster an eco-social sense of self, nurture community support and collaboration, and inspire a loving kind of resilience. Whether I’m leading educational walks, designing immersive workshops, teaching online courses, or offering eco-social coaching and consulting, my goal is to spark care, collaborative action and critical thinking that regenerate both people and places. Over the years, I’ve served as a community leader in Miami’s Little Havana, supported local businesses, bridged arts and civic engagement, and helped communities foster inclusive public spaces. I’ve led a regional civic engagement initiative, taught university courses on identity and urban studies, co-authored A History of Little Havana, and been featured by NPR, PBS, The New York Times, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Throughout my work, I remain passionate about bringing people together across divides, centering belonging, and helping individuals and communities thrive—even in the midst of ecological and social crisis. If you’re seeking transformational learning experiences that spark renewal, reconnect you with place, and inspire hope for a more caring future, I’d love to be your guide. Let’s weave new pathways forward—together.
