Thank you to Racheal Meloche of Banner Bank for an insightful, and well-informed presentation about finding the right BankER. Relationships don’t end when you sign the dotted line. Real customer care involves continued communications and checking in with your customer or consumer.

Also, big congratulations on your nomination for Volunteer of The Year through the Chamber Of Commerce. Your dedication to the community at large, in addition to excellence in customer care is why Anacortes is such a special place to build meaningful relationships.

✨ NSBC Meeting Update ✨

This morning was a special one for our group — it was our last NSBC meeting at the Creative Hub & Coffeehouse before they close their doors. We’re so grateful for the time we’ve spent in this space and for the community it helped us build. We’ll continue meeting in Anacortes, and we’ll announce our new location soon once it’s confirmed.

Today’s presenter was Amy Moe of Swiftwater Electric & Solar, who shared about the work they do to help homeowners reduce grid dependence and find long-term, sustainable energy solutions. She also shared about her life and family and we loved getting to know her better. We appreciate you, Amy!

👥 About NSBC
North Sound Business Connection is all about community, connection, and supporting local professionals. We meet to build real relationships, share referrals, and learn from one another. It’s not just networking — it’s a group of people who genuinely want to see each other grow.

We meet the first three Wednesdays of each month at 7:30 AM, with a casual after-work social meetup on the fourth Wednesday.

Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season — and we can’t wait to continue growing together in the new year!

🌿 NSBC Member Spotlight — Amanda from Wellness for Life 🌿

At North Sound Business Connection (NSBC), one of the best parts of our group is the time we take to learn about each other’s work and the incredible ways our members serve the community.

Today, Amanda, owner of Wellness for Life here in Anacortes, is sharing about the services her clinic offers to help people feel healthy and strong from the inside out. From functional medicine and hormone balancing to IV therapy, trauma-informed care, and aesthetics, Wellness for Life focuses on whole-person healing and getting to the root cause - not just treating symptoms.

Their team’s mission is simple but powerful: to bring wholeness, health, and compassion to every patient they’re honored to care for.

It starts with referrals, but you quickly realize that reason for being part of our networking group barely scratches the surface. It’s about a community of business owners who are simply there for each other. We personally use each others services, we actively recommend each others businesses, and when we are in need of moral support or just a friend to lean on…none of us hesitate to be there for each other. We meet the first 3 Wednesdays of every month and for the 4th one…. we go hang out even more together.

Thank you Riley, owner of Savage Roofing, for hosting the social event last week!

Last networking meeting of the month is tomorrow! Come in to meet other local business owners and hopefully get some referrals!

Here is a sneak peek to tomorrow’s presentation by Cy Scammell of Cookie Fox (Marketing Firm):

Ever wished that all calls to your business felt like referrals? I will be presenting on Wednesday for North Sound Business Connections at the Creative Hub & Coffeehouse at 7:30am- 8:30am (free to attend as a Guest) to show you how to make that a reality for your business.

After working for a marketing company for the last 18.5 years, I started my own firm called Cookie Fox. I have cultivated a business strategy that has been so effective for my clients that they are calling 2025, "Their best year in business ever."

The creative methods I have implemented help potential prospects find my clients with streamlined ease and excitement to work together. This homeostatic resonance results in a broader success and harmony where my clients are genuinely excited about our collaboration, which bridges heartfelt connection between my clients and the communities they serve.

In my presentation, I will walk you through my process and then at our meeting you will have an opportunity to meet other businesses to exchange new referrals.

If you can't make it or you just want to know more before attending, my website is:

Cookie Fox is a boutique digital marketing firm that generates referral type leads for businesses through powerful, meaningful, heartfelt connection. This is accomplished with professional photography and videography showing who your business is across social media platforms and your website. Locate...
