Don't miss our December webinar:
'Tough as a Battleship – 21st Century Lighting for a WWII Museum'
Presented by Illuminating Engineering Society & proudly sponsored by ALUZ
📅December 18, 2025 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm ET

Register for this week's webinar, "Tough as a Battleship — 21st Century Lighting for a WWII Museum," this Thursday, December 18 at 12pm ET. Register at ies.org/webinars

Challenges and solutions involved with installing a DMX512 controlled RGBW lighting system to illuminate a WWII Battleship, now a museum and North Carolina’s most popular tourist attraction. The client wanted to illuminate the battleship with color-changing lighting. Challenges included:

• Finding luminaire mounting locations to avoid contact with visitors and to minimize the obvious problem of 21st century LED luminaires on a ship built in 1940.
• How to run and layout DMX512 data runs.
• How to physically get cables from “here to there;” the entire ship is solid steel.

Registration for this event ends on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 12 PM (ET)
