To Our Community,
We started Cozy in February 2020 with the hope that we could create a comfortable, safe space where healing could happen for many people. The following month, the entire world locked down in response to the biggest pandemic in 100 years. Throughout the months that followed, we were fortunate enough to provide space for a growing number of therapists who continued to, despite the fear and uncertainty, provide in-person warmth, compassion, and comfort for their clients.
Those dark early days are thankfully behind us, and now we find ourselves adapting to life and work as we learn to deal with the current stage of the pandemic. As part of that adaptation, therapists and their clients have embraced telehealth and other non-traditional methods of therapy. Clinicians have their clients' best interests in mind, and for many, that has meant avoiding in-person sessions altogether.
What does this mean for Cozy? Because of the reasons stated above, as well as the constant uncertainty brought by the Delta and other variants, we have noticed a significant decrease in demand for therapy office space. Hundreds of clients have come through our doors, sat on our couches, and experienced healing and freedom at Cozy, but at this time we have made the decision to close Cozy. This is a difficult decision, but we know it's the right one.
We wish all of you the best of luck in your practice, and we are forever grateful for your support and patronage these last two years.
Sincerely,
Eric and Vanessa Cardin
Cozy Founders
