Daily Prayer for March 19.

In the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’ Romans 9:26, NIV
Lord our God, we thank you that you have called us your children, a people who may serve you even in suffering and temptation. Grant that the grace of Jesus Christ may be in us so that we can be victorious over everything that life puts in our way and can withstand the distress that surrounds so many people. O Lord our God, our only refuge, to you alone can we appeal for evil to end and for the victory of Jesus Christ to break through. In that hour we shall rejoice and be glad as your people. Amen. 🙏

Ohio Has A Surprising History With Asteroids…

And it’s bigger than you might think! ☄️

Before this week’s meteor streaked across northern Ohio, a much larger asteroid slammed into the southern part of the state. Scientists estimate the object may have been up to a half-mile wide, creating an impact crater nearly 8 miles across.

That means the ancient asteroid was up to 400× wider than the small space rock seen crossing the sky Tuesday morning. This impact happened 250–330 million years ago and remains one of only 28 confirmed impact craters in the United States.

Today, you can still explore the area at Serpent Mound State Memorial, where prehistoric Native American earthworks sit along the southwestern edge of the ancient crater. Pretty cool, right?

Lord our God, bless us, that the world may be blest. Help us, that the whole world may be helped. Grant us your mercy in Jesus Christ, who laid down his life for the whole world. May it soon be revealed that your kingdom stands and will bring our age to an end, a good and blessed end. Grant your blessing on every aspect of our lives, on all the concerns and requests we have on our hearts, and help us to praise and thank you every day. Let your will become known everywhere in spite of the horror and blasphemy, so that even the dying may glorify you and all who have to suffer may praise and thank you because they see your face and recognize your light. We want to entrust everything to you, Lord God. We await you. We rejoice and thank you, for we know your will shall be done. We know and believe that your name shall be glorified.
