In the coming weeks, the Alaska District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host community scoping meetings on the Arctic Project. The scoping process is an opportunity for the public to provide comments and identify the specific environmental, social, and cultural issues that should be addressed in the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Arctic Project.

At Ambler Metals, we understand that successful development must be shaped by the people who know the land best. We encourage community members and stakeholders to attend a meeting, learn more about the process, and share their input.

Today, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has officially issued the Notice of Intent for the Arctic Project.

This milestone launches the public scoping phase of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) environmental review. Scoping is a coordinated and transparent process, and local input will be essential to shape understanding of the project’s potential impacts and the measures that will be put in place to protect the land, water, wildlife, and traditional lifestyles.

Ambler Metals is excited to work alongside local communities with NANA throughout the scoping phase, and we look forward to demonstrating our continued commitment to responsible development that brings good-paying jobs and generational economic benefits to Northwest Alaska.

It was great to see so many community members at our summer BBQ and community meeting in Shungnak.

Building strong relationships with the communities closest to our projects is central to what we do at Ambler Metals.

At the invitation of the Allakaket Village Council, Ambler Metals' Community Relations Specialist, Freddie R. Olin IV, participated in the Allakaket Community Economic Development Summit.

During the event, he delivered a presentation regarding Arctic mining exploration activities on behalf of Ambler Metals. Following the presentation, the village council invited Ambler Metals to attend an upcoming Annual Meeting of Tribal Members in October 2026 to provide another update.
