Alaska Earth Sciences, Inc.

Alaska Earth Sciences, Inc. Alaska Earth Sciences is a geologic consulting firm specializing in mineral and energy exploration and resource evaluations.

Alaska Earth Sciences has been providing geologic consulting services and meeting the logistical challenges of working in remote sites throughout the state of Alaska since 1985, managing and staffing projects for major mining and junior exploration companies, Alaska native corporations, construction and engineering firms, and state and federal agencies. The principals of the company have an aggreg

ate of more than 70 years of professional geological experience in programs ranging in scope from grass-roots exploration to feasibility studies, targeting a wide range of commodities and geologic environments. Services offered include project management, geologic engineering studies, mineral property appraisals, as well as contract geochemical and geophysical surveys. In addition, AES offers stakeholder relations/community engagement and logistical support for field programs. Our programs are supported by a private library of geologic data compiled over the last one hundred years and it is safe to say our private library will rival that of companies ten times our size. We have extensive computer hardware and software resources, including GIS capabilities and ore deposit modeling. Other assets include an extensive knowledge of Alaska’s complex geologic settings, a staff of 22 full-time employees (including four Certified Professional Geologists), and expertise managing large-scale exploration projects for clients including Anglo American, Barrick, BHP Billiton, Freeport, Newmont and many other international corporations. While our company’s focus has been on mineral exploration, we have firm roots in geotechnical and geological engineering investigations. Our geologic staff has experience in geotechnical drilling, and AES personnel are experienced in permitting processes and environmental requirements for development projects of all sizes. In short, Alaska Earth Sciences has the staff, resources, and experience to meet a wide range of geologic challenges. Alaska Earth Sciences is dedicated to working with private and public-sector clients in all aspects of responsible resource development in Alaska and elsewhere in the world.

AES’s Exploration and Project Generative team had a great technical session on Wednesday reviewing geochemical and geophysical data collected on CIRI’s Farewell block this season. We appreciate John Proffett and Steve Mastermans’ time and contributions to this exciting early-stage project. Lots to smile about!

AES’s exploration geologist, Brendan McCrum, will provide an update on the Farewell Project at the annual Alaska Miners Convention and Trade show on November 5th during the Exploration Highlights session. AES and Alaska Remote Services will be sharing a booth at the trade show.

Stop by and say hello, see you there!

As most of our field programs wind down, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to everyone who made this 2024 field season a success!

A big thank you to our clients, we appreciate the opportunity to serve you! You’re one season closer to discovery. A huge shoutout to our dedicated team of project managers, geologists, local hires, operators, pad builders, expeditors, and office administration. Thanks for making this a safe and productive field season! We hope you learned a lot this season and are excited to return in 2025. We also want to extend our appreciation to Alaska’s Native Corporations and indigenous people they represent. AES values your trust, and we recognize it is an honor to explore your lands. Next year AES will celebrate 40 years of serving Alaska’s mineral and energy industries. We’re excited for what’s to come and look forward to supporting our clients for many more years.
