BBNC, in partnership with Kenai Peninsula Driving Instruction, will host CDL training for the fall of 2026.

NOTE: The first portion of this training requires 40 hours of online coursework to be completed independently and on your own time. Please ensure you have access to a computer or laptop, as this coursework must be completed prior to the hands-on training in Kenai.

Enrollment for training will be on-going based on available dates.

Application deadline: On-going based on availability.

Minimum Requirements:
• Alaska Resident (Due to grant requirements)
• Resume and Talent Profile on mybbnc.net are required for the application
• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old
• BBNC shareholder, spouse, or descendant
• Must have a valid Alaska Class D Driver License
• Must have or obtain an Instructional Card (IA) permit from DMV before the course starts in the class you are training in
• Must hold a CDL medical examiner’s certificate. This card is obtained upon visiting a DOT authorized physician
• Must pass a drug screening. Drug test screening is required prior to training. Positive drug screen reports will warrant ineligibility for enrollment Students may be subject to Random Drug Testing throughout the program
• Must be enrolled in the FMCSA Clearinghouse
• Have an acceptable driving record. Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR) will need to be submitted prior to class. DWI and other serious driving infractions can be considered to determine ineligibility for enrollment
• Criminal Driving Record: A driver must not have been convicted of a felony involving the use of a motor vehicle; a crime involving drugs; driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol; or hit-and-run driving which resulted in injury or death. Drivers with a criminal conviction of any kind may not operate a commercial vehicle into Canada
• All students must have appropriate clothing (i.e., rain gear, gloves, work boots, work pants, work shirts, warm clothing, and small hand flashlight)
• All students must complete an enrollment packet which requests personal and health related information
