In honor of National Oyster Day, we're sharing some of the work we've done lately to promote Alaska's amazing oyster industry. RTC produced, art directed, and executed a photoshoot highlighting Alaska's oysters and kelp.
Our styling approach for the oysters was rooted in culinary appeal, capturing their deep cups and clean, briny character in both raw and cooked preparations, the way a chef or home cook would actually experience them.For kelp, we took a taxonomic approach, photographing each species individually to highlight its distinct texture, color, and form.
Together, these images tell the story of an industry defined by its hard working harvesters, abundance, and possibility.
