For government contractors, the CMMC 2.0 pause may sound like permission to stop working towards certification. But cybersecurity work doesn’t lose its value because the process around it evolves.

While the requirements around CMMC 2.0 are still unclear, the work still matters – even if the verification process changes.

Kevin Fassanella, CISSP, director of security and compliance for Arctic IT, shares the latest on the pause and what organizations should do to keep the work moving in his latest article:

Don’t let the CMMC 2.0 pause stall your cybersecurity efforts. The time is now to build stronger defenses and stay prepared for future compliance requirements.

Congratulations to the Navajo Nation on the historic launch of their new ERP system! This project marks a major milestone in the Nation's effort to modernize government operations and improve services for the Navajo people.

"By modernizing our policies, processes, and systems together, we are building a more accountable, efficient, and sustainable government while protecting the Nation's sovereignty and authority over its data. This milestone also reflects the commitment of employees across the Nation who have spent many months preparing for this moment and building a stronger foundation for future generations," commented Navajo Nation Controller Sean McCabe.

The team at Arctic IT is honored to have supported the Nation through this modernization effort, alongside our partners at Microsoft, Dayforce, AXL Global Consulting, and The Performa Group.

This launch follows the fall 2025 implementation of the Navajo Nation's vital records and enrollment system using Arctic IT's Tribal Platforms.
