CELEBRATING PATRICK | As he prepares to begin his well-earned retirement from state public service May 30, we honor Executive Director Patrick Reinhart for his remarkable four-decade career supporting Alaskans with disabilities and their families.

As Executive Director of the Governor’s Council, Patrick has served under six governors. He dedicated his career to advancing inclusion, advocacy, and opportunity across Alaska. On April 16, he was honored by the 34th Alaska State Legislature with a legislative citation recognizing his lifelong impact and service.

Patrick, thank you for your leadership, passion, and unwavering commitment to Alaska’s disability community. We are deeply grateful for the legacy you leave behind and wish you all the best in your next adventure!

When your office for the day is Prince of Wales Island, you know you're doing something right! DDA consultant Charity traveled to one of Alaska's most stunning corners to facilitate on-site with a client, and the views did not disappoint. What a job!

Human Services Transportation Gaps and Solutions was a big success. Shout out to co-hosts: 100% Communities Transportation Action Team, The Kenai Peninsula Homelessness Coalition (KPHC) and the Kenai Peninsula Borough (KPB) and sponsors: Bridges Community Resource Network, Inc., Central Area Rural Transit Services, Inc. (CARTS), and the Kenai Peninsula Foundation for prioritizing this important convening and achieving alignment on solutions like defining what no wrong door means for the Kenai. Go DDA team!
