The Alaska Federation of Natives and Get Out The Native Vote are partnering with Hays Research Group to host a series of voting focus groups to do a deeper dive into understanding voters in Alaska - exploring why individuals are not voting, what compels people to vote, identify barriers to voting, talking through details on messaging related to voting for each region, and what information do people need to feel more confident to vote in every election (state, local, federal, and tribal). These focus groups will help us better prepare for all elections, ensure we are supporting Alaskans, particularly Alaska Native voters in rural communities, and determine the actions we need to implement to provide the right support for voters across Alaska.
