So who made this happen?

For seven days last June, engineers and construction crews held their breath as six million pounds of steel inched across an Alaska canyon.

Using custom 400-ton hydraulic rollers and rams, the Traylor Bros. team pushed the fully assembled superstructure across the Juneau Creek canyon while holding girder alignment within a 1-in. tolerance.

The successful launch had been years in the making and the challenges were steep. Environmental restrictions barred construction in the canyon. The remote site complicated access. Wind, alignment and enormous structural loads left little margin for error.

Gabriel Browner at the recent apprentice competition... He gets it. Union is not just about pay and benefits. It's helping those coming up behind you, looking out for the others on your crew.... it truly is a brotherhood. Mutual respect and building skills of the trade and building character.

Federal Judge Orders Pentagon to Resume Wind Energy Project Reviews
A federal judge has ruled that the Department of Defense (DOD) must lift its blockade on onshore wind energy projects and resume national security reviews that have been halted for months.
Background on the Freeze
Under President Donald Trump’s second term, the Pentagon stopped conducting the routine national security reviews required for wind turbines over 200 feet tall. These reviews are needed to determine whether projects could interfere with radar, flight paths, or military training, and are a prerequisite for securing financing, insurance, and state/local permits rv-times.com. The freeze began in April 2026, citing concerns about radar interference from wind turbines, particularly in the context of evolving drone threats rv-times.com.
Legal Action
Renewable energy companies, trade groups, and about 20 states led by Democratic governors sued the DOD, arguing the halt violated statutory deadlines and unlawfully delayed or blocked projects Industrial Info Resources. The plaintiffs said the freeze had stalled at least 106–155 projects across 21 states, potentially costing affected states up to $47 billion in lost investment
