I’m pleased to share that we’ve earned the Certified Knowledge Specialist - Information Architecture for AI Solutions (CKS-IA) certification from the KM Institute (KMI)!
This certification represents another important milestone in our continuing professional development in Knowledge Management (KM), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and enterprise digital transformation.
Why does Information Architecture matter for AI?
The effectiveness of enterprise AI depends heavily on how organizational knowledge is structured, classified, connected, and made accessible. Information Architecture provides a critical foundation for trustworthy AI solutions, effective knowledge retrieval, and better organizational decision-making.
At Nakaani Technologies, this specialized training strengthens our capabilities to help organizations:
* Build AI-ready knowledge environments through structured information architecture, taxonomies, and knowledge organization.
* Improve enterprise AI performance by establishing the information foundations needed for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), knowledge discovery, and AI-powered knowledge assistants.
* Advance AI governance through improved information classification, access controls, and knowledge stewardship.
* Develop AI Centers of Excellence (AI CoEs) that integrate Knowledge Management, organizational strategy, and responsible AI adoption.
* Preserve institutional knowledge and strengthen organizational continuity through sustainable KM practices.
This certification complements my broader professional development through KMI, including Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM), Certified AI & KM Professional (CAIKM), and specialized training in Knowledge Transfer, Organizational Development, Innovation Management, Taxonomy & Ontology, and KM & Enterprise AI.
Our vision for Nakaani Technologies is to help organizations move beyond AI experimentation toward practical, knowledge-driven enterprise capabilities.
For Alaska Native Corporations, Tribal governments, Native Hawaiian Organizations, and other mission-driven enterprises, this means building the knowledge infrastructure necessary to support responsible AI adoption while protecting valuable institutional knowledge.
We are grateful to the KM Institute for its continued commitment to advancing the KM profession and its application to enterprise AI.
