What Makes an Award-Winning Glamping Experience?

Yesterday, we shared the exciting news that Alaskan Glamping was recognized as the '2026 Best Glamping Retreat Global'.

Today, we'd like to share what we believe makes that recognition possible.

It starts with a simple idea: Alaska should be easier to experience.

Not everyone owns camping equipment. Not everyone wants to spend hours setting up camp after a long drive. And not everyone is ready to trade comfort for adventure.

That's where glamping comes in.

At Eklutna Lake, guests arrive to find comfortable beds, quality linens, locally crafted pottery, campfire seating, and the essentials already in place. Instead of focusing on logistics, they can focus on what they came for—exploring trails, paddling the lake, spending time with family, and enjoying Alaska's incredible wilderness. A retreat experience.

But the experience goes beyond the accommodations.

Our guests are supporting a local Alaska-owned business, local artisans, outdoor recreation, and community partnerships that help strengthen Alaska's outdoor lifestyle.

Every reservation helps us continue investing in experiences that connect people with the places that make Alaska special.

To everyone who has stayed with us, shared a post, left a review, referred a friend, or supported our journey—thank you. This award is a reflection of the community that has grown around Alaskan Glamping.

We can't wait to welcome the next guests who choose to experience Alaska a little differently.

Award-Winning Experiences, Built Around Alaska's Outdoor Lifestyle

We're honored to announce that Alaskan Glamping has been recognized as the '2026 Best Glamping Retreat Global'.

While awards are exciting, what this recognition really celebrates is something much bigger: the outdoor lifestyle community that makes Alaska such a special place.

Building Alaska's outdoor lifestyle community is about more than providing a place to stay. It's about supporting the trails, organizations, programs, and people who make outdoor adventure possible.

This week, we're especially excited to support the work of Alaska Trails and the Chugach Park Fund. Alaska Trails will be slingloading materials into a remote trail project funded through donations to Chugach Park Fund. Among the supplies headed into the field are tools and rebar donated by Alaskan Glamping to help support the project.

For us, this is what being part of Alaska's outdoor community is all about. The trails, recreation areas, and public lands we enjoy don't maintain themselves. They exist because of the dedication of volunteers, nonprofits, land managers, donors, and local businesses working together to improve access and protect these places for future generations.

Whether we're hosting guests at Eklutna Lake, supporting local organizations, or helping get materials to a trail crew in the backcountry, we're proud to play a small role in strengthening Alaska's outdoor recreation community.

Thank you to everyone who supports Alaska's trails, parks, and outdoor programs. Together, we're helping more people experience the best of Alaska.
