🚨 PSA to all of our fellow businesses and local communities! 🚨
We’ve seen an increase in phishing and scam emails coming through on our end, and we’re hearing the same from several other local businesses.
Please be mindful, careful, and cautious with anything that seems even remotely suspicious. If you aren’t expecting an email, attachment, invoice, link, or request, do not click, download, respond, or provide information until you can verbally or physically verify the source.
Scammers are getting more creative, and sometimes the emails can look very legitimate.
When in doubt, contact the individual or company directly using a phone number or contact method you already trust—not the information provided in the suspicious message.
Consult with your local IT professionals, stay vigilant, and help look out for one another.
Stay safe out there, friends! 💻🔒
