I’ve been creating and designing for more than 35 years, and I’m still excited by the tools we have today! I love photography, and I have an eye for the little details that help make a picture feel just right. So yes, I use tools like Procreate, Adobe, Canva, AI, and more to help bring ideas to life, edit photos and share them in a beautiful way.
Creative tools have always changed with the times. We’ve gone from pencils, paint, film cameras, and hands-on layouts to digital cameras and design programs, editing apps—and now we have even more ways to explore an idea. Just like filters have been part of social media for years, these tools can help creators polish and present their work.
For me, using new tools doesn’t take away from the love, experience, and creativity behind what I make. It gives me more ways to learn, experiment, and keep growing. Embracing change doesn’t mean forgetting where we came from; it means carrying our experience forward while staying open to new possibilities. We can appreciate the past without becoming stuck in it.
This business and the tools we use are always changing. I believe it’s important to keep learning and make the most of what’s available—not only to keep up with demand, but to make our creative journey stronger and more joyful.
After all these years, I still love creating. And I’m excited to see where these tools—and a little imagination—can take us next. Don’t be scared of the future friends, or you will be left behind.🤎✨
