Another custom build in the books! This time, going to Hollywood, a pair of Altec 612 style cabinets loaded with original Altec 416A-16 woofers, 802D drivers with our own highly customized 511B aluminum horns. Custom designed 16 ohm crossovers fitted internally.

The cabinets are made from 1” and 3/4” void-free birch and finished in a gorgeous β€œsilk” whitewash with beeswax by Osmo Canada.

This system has a character all its own: Lush, lifelike midrange and vocals, upper range clarity without that horn β€œbite”, and low notes for miles.

Fabricated in our Andover, MA location with pride and care.

The owner of these new/old speakers is sure to love the sound for many years to come.

We take our custom projects seriously, and frankly, they are very time consuming. We started this custom β€œreplica” Tannoy Red-10/3LZ project back in April and it took nearly 4 months to fully realize the final product. But the result as been absolutely worth the wait.

These vintage components have a natural sound that seemingly cannot be replicated with modern drivers. We are not sure why, but we can certainly hear the difference.

Fabricated in our Andover, MA location with pride and care.

The owner of these new/old speakers is sure to love the sound for many years to come.
