Hey there everyone
It’s been a little bit I wanted you all to know I will be accepting shoulder mounts and all small mammal trophies to mount for you this fall!
The number of specimens I accept I will keep at a minimum to insure a great turn around time for you
I’ll be using top products from Matuska taxidermy and Iowa’s best tannery , old barn so..... be safe get the job done and have fun!!!

This is the last grooming before I set him aside to dry up a bit. Then he will get a little attention between now, and when he gets his finishing touches.
If you’re wondering what the blue is, well that’s blue painters tape.
I use it as a holding and carding crutch for a little piece of his ear.
Canid and felines have this flap close to the base of their ears, it’s most prevalent in these animals with erect ears.
Chihuahuas, corgis, all cats .... etc.
This flap creates a pocket of sorts. Scientists aren’t entirely sure why it’s there.
Most say for more focused hearing.
This is called the cutaneous marginal pocket,
Or Henry’s pocket.
This needs to be visible on mounts and the tape helps make this possible.
