The day before we install your countertops, here's what we ask homeowners to do.

Clear the cabinets. Anything currently sitting on the counter needs to come off. The sink and faucet should be disconnected by your plumber. Appliances that drop into the counter, the cooktop especially, should be set aside.

Let us know about anything we should be careful around. Hardwood floors need protection. New cabinetry deserves it. Pets that are nervous around strangers should be in a closed room.

Plan to be without the kitchen for the install day. Most projects take six to eight hours from arrival to cleanup. The seal needs to cure overnight before you set anything heavy on it.

That's it. We handle everything else.
