DIY pest exclusion can sometimes end in success, but this is a common example of a good faith effort that did not end this family's mouse infestation and headaches…

Spray Foam (doesn't matter if it's Great Stuff, Loctite, Gorilla, etc.) is basically soft foam... and rodents chew through it like drywall. 🐭🐀🦝🐿️

While it's useful to insulate and fill gaps, it's never going to block a motivated critter trying to escape the elements 🥶. Plus, it shrinks and cracks as it ages, opening back up at the seams.

Effective exclusion necessarily means industrial sealant, steel screen and metal flashing fastened in place (not foamed in), plus a full check of the rest of the structure.

Wait for it... 🍿🤣

The odds you’ll come face to face with a (nocturnal) flying squirrel are low... but never zero!

Spring is officially??? here in Ann Arbor, and squirrels (along with plenty of other wildlife) are actively searching for a warm spot to nest and have babies. If that spot happens to be your attic, we can help. Removal *and effective exclusion* so they don't come back.

Sagging soffits are an open door for mice 🐁, squirrels 🐿️, bats 🦇, raccoons (who will chew and pry to make the gap even bigger), birds and insects.
