🚨 Did you see the scary news about a door-to-door "pest control salesman" in Brighton on Wednesday? 🚨

Here's the deal with door-to-door soliciting and other shady pest control and home services tactics we're noticing in Michigan: https://www.pestfreemi.com/blog-news/door-to-door-pest-control-deception

Hopefully this helps you avoid companies that use deceptive practices like D2D sales, fake reviews, and AI-generated business photos...

🚫 We've never done door-to-door sales and never will
🚫 We've never paid for fake reviews
🚫 We've never used AI to generate fake photos or videos to promote our business

Unfortunately, deceptive pest control marketing doesn’t end with the door-to-door sales. MANY Michigan pest control companies (newer ones especially, but not exclusively…) are flat-out faking it online. We’re seeing a total manufacturing of credibility online using AI tools, photoshop, and oth...

Some entry points practically wave at you.

Others have us on our hands, knees, and backs, up on the roof, turning the whole property into a rodent crime scene investigation...

Either way, we find it 🐀🔍! Every time...

The Pound for Pound Champ in Rodent Mixed Martial Arts 🐿️🥋, the Red Squirrel...

Word of advice: never throw paws with these critters!

Listen kids, don't eat things unless you know for sure where they came from 🥾🤢😂

A recipe perfected over MANY iterations spanning 10 years, our delicious Squirrel Butter has made a decadent final meal for many critters that invaded the wrong house at the wrong time. 🐀 🐀 🐀

Comment below ⬇️ if have a good name for this stuff and if you have suggestions on how we can improve our ̶b̶l̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶w̶a̶l̶n̶u̶t̶ processing technique 😂 🥜

Wait for it... 🍿🤣

The odds you’ll come face to face with a (nocturnal) flying squirrel are low... but never zero!

Thanks for making this extraction just a bit easier for us, pal! 🐿️💨

Spring is officially??? here in Ann Arbor, and squirrels (along with plenty of other wildlife) are actively searching for a warm spot to nest and have babies. If that spot happens to be your attic, we can help. Removal *and effective exclusion* so they don't come back.

Sagging soffits are an open door for mice 🐁, squirrels 🐿️, bats 🦇, raccoons (who will chew and pry to make the gap even bigger), birds and insects.

Soffits sag from: prolonged water damage 🌧️, aging material breaking down, and older homes settling – especially on front porches.

Full soffit replacement in Michigan typically runs $25 to 50k 😵☠️

Our fix? Remove the gutter fasteners and slide custom-cut metal panels behind the gap.

✅ Critters blocked and thousands saved...

That's the face of a guy 🦝 who had the run of this Ann Arbor home 😅

Motion sensor camera footage never disappoints!!!

The second half of the video demonstrates how nimble raccoons are at exploiting barely-noticeable weak points to access attics, walls, and crawl spaces. It takes a lot less space than most people realize!

Do it right or do it twice! 💸

The fascia/soffit junction (where the roof deck meets the eave) is one of the most common bat 🦇 entry points.

Linear separations along construction joints (roof deck-to-fascia, fascia-to-soffit, etc.) open up through weathering, material failure, and normal building movement. The older your 🏠, the more likely this becomes.

In this example in Ypsilanti, a previous pest control company correctly identified the problem (hence the presence of the exclusion netting) but couldn't solve it.

Roughly a 1️⃣/3️⃣rd!!! of our customers with bat problems have called a different pest control company before us!

Truth is, with bat eviction and exclusion especially, there really is no substitute for expertise and quality workmanship 🪜🧰.

Welcome to our 👉 Pointer Stick video era 😂!

Anyone can set traps and bait boxes, but they only treat the symptoms of your pest problem. The hard work is finding entry points and addressing them. That's what we do at Community.

When we inspect a home for wildlife or rodents, we’re not just walking around the perimeter and laying traps 🪤:

✅ We’re on extension ladders checking rooflines
✅ We’re crawling through tight crawl spaces and attics
✅ We’re looking closely at soffits, fascia, vents, and chimneys
✅ We’re inspecting garage door seals and foundation lines
& a lot more!
