Mayniax Branding

Mayniax Branding We're here to make people care about entrepreneurs' brands. Because if no one cares about their bran and never knew just how bad it could be. Now, I’m over it.

We tell the world we do this so we can give business owners and entrepreneurs a shot at better lives. That’s very true, and here’s why:

“For years, my parents ran a cleaning company. Most of their business was through word-of mouth, and it was feast or famine. My sister and I were enrolled in private schools, which obviously cost money. Our parents always made sure we were taken care of, many tim

es at their own expense. It was my great dream to retire them. When dad died in 2009 from a aortic aneurysm, so did that dream. "As silly as it sounds, I regret not having the knowledge then that we have, now. I know branding would’ve gone a long way toward making their business succeed. A successful brand would’ve led to a less stressful life. "And with a less stressful life, maybe dad would still be alive today.

“In the years since, we’ve seen the same ‘feast or famine’ thing happen to those we’ve come to know as friends. Now, as melodramatic as this sounds, helping entrepreneurs is personal.” -Dave

When we decided to do everything we could to help make entrepreneurs dreams come true, a funny thing happened: We realized those dreams are insane! These aren’t those evil rat-bastards we hear about, sitting in ivory towers trying to squeeze every last penny out of us. These are people who want to change the world for the better! These are people with dreams of housing the homeless, preparing high school kids for careers, and helping us all live healthier lives. Entrepreneurs are going to fix our broken world. And they’re going to need our help to do it. For us, branding isn’t just a fun career, it’s a responsibility! A fun, entertaining, caffeine-filled responsibility. Stay gutsy, gang! When it comes to brands, I’d avoid politics.

If a brand goes too far in one direction politically, it could alienate 50% or more of its potential customer base, which is 50% or more of its potential sales.

Of course, do what ya do. Just understand the potential consequences.

And have the caffeine ready. Everyone loves caffeine.

Stay crazy, gang!

Ain’t no rest for the red glasses!

Next week’s a lead magnet week where, depending on how much client work needs me, I plan on working four to six hours per day on said lead magnet until it’s done 🧲

Because yeah, it seems it’s that important.

So, if ya see me at a coffee shop next week, you’ll know what I’m doing: working on the lead magnet!

And drinking coffee. I’ll definitely be drinking coffee.

Have a great weekend, all!

LEAD MAGNETS = KIND OF A BIG DEAL

I'm learning a ton these last couple months, and part of that ton is the importance of lead magnets, no matter what type of marketing you do.

Lead magnets do a lotta good things:
- Solve problems potential customers have
- Let people know you know what you're doing
- That last bit builds trust, which makes people more likely to buy
- Well-done lead magnets always generate top-of-funnel leads

Hence, lead magnet.

I'm working on one right now that'll help business owners decide which marketing path they should take, because there are just so gosh darn many.

So no, the red glasses AREN'T part of the lead magnet.

Have fun, all!

Since venturing out on my own, I've thought of entrepreneurs and business owners as the crazy ones. People who could've been inserted into Apple's 1997 "Here's to the Crazy Ones" commercial.

And if that's you, well, keep it up!

And yes, coffee helps the crazy.

Have fun!

5 THOUGHTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Note: all of these are things I've done, with some success. Others' opinions may differ wildly. And that's juuusst fine.

1. In the beginning, try to spend at least 1.5 - 2.0 hours on social media / day. The goal is to post a lot of valuable content so your audience grows. And I mean a LOT of content. How much? As much as possible.

2. Keep it in-house. No one's gonna know your business like you and the people who work with you. Most small, outside people / firms simply can't dedicate the time necessary to build up a massive social media presence because they have other clients, too.

3. Get an account on all the social media platforms. They're free, and even if you don't use some of them, it'll prevent others from using your name for their social media.

4. Constantly test. Keep track of what's working, then you'll know to post more of that kind of content.

5. Be social! That's right, chat with the people. Don't just post and call it a day.

BONUS: Drink plenty of caffeinated beverages. Of course, that's not necessarily social media-specific.

Have fun, all!
