New inspiration for the year - every month I will read books about innovative leaders throughout history who inspire me. After all, we become a product of the people and knowledge surrounding us. This month, I’m starting with Everett Kircher, the American Pioneer of Ski Resorts, inspired by my recent trip to .mountain. Once teased for believing he could build a ski resort in Michigan, Everett surpassed expectations and was one of the most successful ski resort and hospitality business leaders over the last century ⛷️ 💡

We had a blast at Breakfast Labs this week talking about intrapreneurship vs. entrepreneurship. Some of my favorite lessons from the workshop attendees:
- Dancers make better business people - practice dance to better your listening and observational skills - using intuition to determine your next steps.
- We should build relationships before we need them.
- Collect people rather than things - who is in your circle will influence and inspire your daily life and success.
- Being at the”bleeding edge” is a step ahead of the “leading edge” - indicating your willingness to take risks.
- We learn by making mistakes. It is better to fail and learn than to not try at all.
