Meeting our amazing new intern Kaila Hodge. Kaila is a third-year Law and American Civilization major at Towson University. Prior to joining Due East, she interned at the Maryland General Assembly and with the Anne Arundel County Executive where she piloted and co-created a paid internship program that exposed youth to the inner workings of local government. When Kaila has free time, you can find her journaling, watching documentaries, or playing with her dog, Blue.

This week our team made a donation to The Kyiv Independent to support independent journalism and bring the world the facts on the ground in Ukraine. We have been fortunate to work in support of local news and information for communities across the U.S. As the Washington Post masthead reads every day - “Democracy Dies in Darkness”. This is true everywhere. We stand with Ukraine.
