UPDATE: (2/29/24 at 1:00 a.m.) Mya Johnson has been located unharmed and has been reunited with family members. Thank you to everyone who cooperated and assisted with this investigation.

UPDATE: (2/27/2024 at 3:45 p.m.) Mya Johnson remains missing. At this time, it is believed Mya is not in the immediate area. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Sergeant David Roys, 301-934-1500. If you see Mya please call 911.

Critical Missing Juvenile: The La Plata Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Mya Johnson. Mya is 16-years old, approximately 5-4 and 96 pounds. She was last seen at La Plata High School at approximately 7:10 a.m., wearing a gray and black striped sweater. Black ripped jeans. Black and white converse shoes. Carrying a black shoulder bag.

Anyone with information should contact Detective Sergeant Roys at 301-934-1500, anyone seeing Mya should call 911.
