🏆 Perfect timing, by design. Continental Contractors completed an eight-month transformation of the JW Atlanta Downtown (formerly a W property) — new guestrooms, a refreshed lobby bar, and restaurant — with the June 2026 finish line timed to Atlanta's turn hosting the FIFA World Cup.

The renovated spaces made their debut just weeks before the tournament's semifinal at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where Argentina edged England 2-1. We like to think that lobby bar saw plenty of celebrating that night. 🇦🇷

This month's project spotlight is shining bright on the JW Marriott Atlanta Downtown, formerly a W property and now better than ever!

The JW Atlanta Downtown places guests within easy reach of the city's biggest draws with the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Georgia Aquarium, and Centennial Olympic Park all just steps away, offering a fantastic retreat for busy visitors hitting the town at full force!

Beginning in the fall of 2025, Continental Contractors led a comprehensive multiphase renovation transforming the former W Atlanta Downtown into the JW Marriott Atlanta Downtown. The scope of work spanned the entire property, from the 237 guestrooms and suites to a full reimagining of the hotel's public spaces. The two phases ran in parallel over a compressed six-month schedule, with guestrooms completed from October 2025 to April 2026 and public spaces from December 2025 to June 2026. This overlapping timeline required tight sequencing and close coordination across trades to keep the hotel operational throughout construction.

This ambitious six-month deadline couldn't have been met without excellent communication and coordination across the construction team and hotel staff.

Planning a Las Vegas getaway this summer? Consider staying at this month's project spotlight!

Walking distance from the Convention Center and steps from the iconic Las Vegas strip, the newly redesigned Las Vegas Marriott hotel offers guests a spacious and comfortable retreat from the excitement of the city, complete with spectacular views of the Sphere, Sin City’s newest eye-catching entertainment hub.

In May 2025 Continental Contractors began a comprehensive seven-month renovation of 274 guestrooms and corridors at the Las Vegas Marriott. The project included several accessible projects to accommodate a wide range of guest needs including: the creation of an accessible, barrier-free guestroom; the transformation of one existing ADA guestroom to a standard room; creating a new accessible guestroom for hearing-impaired guests, and the construction of three new roll-in-shower guestrooms.

Guestrooms were transformed with new luxury vinyl tile flooring, wallcoverings, lighting, custom millwork, and dry bars featuring stone countertops. The Continental team also removed and replaced the former double-door bedroom entry with a widened frame opening to improve sightlines and flow throughout the suite.

Standard guest bathrooms also received a significant upgrade with 242 tub-to-shower conversions, creating a more modern and spacious guest experience. Bathroom highlights feature Belgian Bluestone shower floor and wall tile, barn-door style shower enclosures, updated vanities, and plumbing fixtures and accessories.

The project was completed in December 2025. The result? A cohesive, contemporary design that elevates the overall guest experience while supporting the property’s position as a premier Las Vegas destination.
