If you just opened the coat closet for the first time since last winter and wanted to close the door right back up, this one’s for you. Dealing with it can feel overwhelming, especially when you simply don’t have the time.

As the weather cools down, the coat closet fills back up with jackets, boots, hats, gloves and backpacks. Getting it ready for the season goes much faster with a little help.

With every coat closet, we start by pulling everything out and sorting it by person and by season. Kids grow a lot in a year, so we check what still fits before anything goes back in. Hats, gloves and scarves each get their own labeled bin, boots get a landing spot so wet shoes have somewhere to go, and off-season items move up high or to another part of the house.

Once each thing has a home, the whole family can grab what they need on the way out and put it back on the way in.

Our 2027 Membership is officially open, and we built it around how you actually live.

The Refresh Membership is made for ongoing maintenance, decluttering and seasonal help. Think seasonal closet swaps, packing away holiday décor, a reset before school starts, or a pantry that stays easy to use. Each quarter you get a minimum of 12 organizing hours, one session with two organizers, and a 5% member discount on labor.

The Transform Membership is for families organizing several spaces for the first time. Kitchens, playrooms, basements, closets, garages and more. Each quarter you get a minimum of 24 organizing hours, one session with four organizers, and a 10% member discount on labor.

Those hours are where your support starts. Need more time? You can add hours at your member rate, which stays locked in for the full year.

This time of year always gets me. Something about fall and the back-to-school season has me feeling all the feels and thinking back on all the systems that used to carry our family through the chaos. 🍂📚

Long before you could scroll Instagram for organization hacks or use Canva to print labels, it took real intentionality and creative problem-solving to build a home that ran smoothly. 💫

Sliding through these archives today was such a fun walk down memory lane! Swipe to see some throwbacks of the actual systems I built to keep our home running when all three kids were under one roof as well as some other family systems from over 10 years ago!

Looking back at these craft bins, chore charts, uniform sorting stations, and toy bins with photos, these original systems laid the entire foundation for everything we do today. Most importantly: they worked.

Those intentional systems:
    •    Lightened my daily mental load as a busy mom
    •    Taught my kids independence from a young age
    •    Kept our school papers, daily routines, and household chaos organized

Now, with two kids in college and a junior in high school, I can tell you firsthand: the systems you build when they’re little stick with them for life. What started on my own kitchen counter grew into Systems by Susie and while our tools have evolved over the years, the heart of what we do hasn’t changed. ✨

When we say we set clients up for their whole new home, we mean the whole home. Even man’s best friend gets a system, because loyalty like that deserves better than a leash tangled in a kitchen drawer.

This move came with a shower for muddy paws, a designated spot for leashes and gear, and treats stored somewhere that isn’t a random cabinet next to the pasta. Food, grooming supplies, all of it labeled and easy to find, for the one family member who can’t exactly ask for a system but absolutely benefits from one.

One more room in this house that works the way it’s supposed to, before the family’s even fully unpacked. Because a good system doesn’t play favorites. Not between rooms, not between people, and certainly not when it comes to man’s best friend. 🐾
