Our president Braxton Harris and EVP Kendrick Reaves attended the Affiliated Distributors North American Meeting last week at the Ga***rd Pacific in Chula Vista, Calif. BHC is an approved supplier partner for AD, a buying and marketing group serving the plumbing industry.
This year, The Commonwealth Group was integrated into AD, which has further expanded AD’s independent distributor network.
AD reported record member sales exceeding $58 billion across its 13 divisions for the first half of 2026, a 15% increase year-over-year. Same-store sales of existing members grew by 10%, while member purchases from AD suppliers increased 24%.
AD chairman and CEO Bill Weisberg commented, “Our strong first-half results reflect the growth of our members, the addition of new members to our community, and the strength of member partnerships with AD suppliers.”

Braxton Harris recently sponsored a unique “Cast & Blast” event that was hosted by our Louisiana rep Grant & Associates.
It began with a Thursday sunset arrival at "Big Lake," the locals’ common name for Calcasieu Lake, a 50,000-acre brackish estuary in Southwest Louisiana. It is famed for trophy speckled trout, redfish, and flounder fishing, as well as guide services and marinas.
The group cooked a ribeye dinner together, shared some cheers and played a few friendly hands of poker. They were up bright and early Friday morning, ready to hit the water for fishing on two boats from Get Hooked Charters out of Hackberry, La.
Later Friday afternoon and the next morning, they switched to the “blast” portion of the trip for some Teal hunting out of a local duck blind. There was also time for a little gambling at the Golden Nugget Casino.
By Saturday afternoon, they returned to the charter boats on Big Lake for more “casting,” and everyone caught their limits of redfish, speckled trout and bass.
“We all had a blast with quite a bit of success,” said Greg Newton of Grant & Associates. “Thank you to Braxton Harris for sponsoring this great trip! Everyone really enjoyed it.”

Braxton Harris Co. joins all those who recognize October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a worldwide campaign dedicated to raising public awareness, promoting early detection and raising funds for research.
According to sources like the National Breast Cancer Foundation, breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting American women, second only to skin cancers. Approximately 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime; it is anticipated that more than 380,000 women will be diagnosed in 2026. .
But there is great hope. Advances in early detection and treatment methods have significantly increased survival rates, and now, when caught in its earliest stages, the five-year survival rate is over 99%. There are currently over 4 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S.

Plumbers Wholesale Supply - Gadsden sponsored a concert by popular Southern Rock band Them Dirty Roses at The Amp in Gadsden, Ala. The band, which has been performing since 2012, has deep Alabama roots and now performs at venues around the country. The Amp is a historic open air music and event venue built by the WPA in 1935 using native sandstone.
According to Plumbers Supply, they were “proud to sponsor this concert and give everyone a chance to see this talented, homegrown group making big waves in the music industry!”
Plumbers Wholesale Supply has been family owned and operated for more than 75 years. Founded in 1948 by George Cummans and L.O. Trout in Gadsden, Ala., they quickly became a trusted name in plumbing supplies. George’s two children, Dave and Ginger, both eventually joined the business, as well as Ginger’s husband Alan Ross.
More than four decades later, Dave, Alan and Dave’s son Cole continue the family tradition. BHC is also a multi-generation family owned business based in Alabama, and its an honor to do business with Plumbers Wholesale.

Hats off to our customer Pacific Plumbing Supply, which recently hosted their annual golf tournament at The Golf Club at Newcastle. The tournament raised $38,500 for Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington
This year was extra special as It felt like the stars aligned for this wish – the golf tournament had a tiki theme and Wish Kid Emily’s dream was ironically to go to Hawaii. Thanks to Make-A-Wish and the funds the tournament raised, they were able to grant Emily’s wish!
Pacific Plumbing Supply Co. LLC was founded by Maurice Sherman in 1949. After working for many years for his brother buying & reselling salvage and other goods, Maurice established a single storefront and warehouse in Seattle as Pacific Plumbing Supply. He rented and set up his own warehouse, ordered product, hired a couple of employees, and opened for business – all within a few months. Very unfortunately, after building his business for two short years, Maurice passed away following an extended illness. He left Pacific Plumbing Supply to his two sons, Ernie and Eddie Sherman, who were still attending school at the time. They not only managed to keep the business going forward in those early years, but led it through tremendous growth and success throughout its history. In 2024, Pacific Plumbing Supply celebrated its 75th anniversary, led by the second and third generations of the Sherman family. Pacific now has 18 locations across Washington, Alaska and Montana.

The Atlanta location of our customer Eastern Industrial Supplies Inc recently fired up its smoker and hosted a lunch for their associates. Eastern is grateful to their drivers/grill masters TC Harper and Derrick Black for providing delicious food and making it an awesome day for the team.
Eastern Industrial opened its doors in 1980 in Greenville, S.C. They are independently owned and operated, and the growth of their locations has led them into markets across the Southeast including the Carolinas, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama.

Sunshine, great golf and even better company were among the highlights of the inaugural Lee Supply Golf Invitational at Pebble Brook Golf Club. Pebble Brook is a 36-hole championship golf course in Noblesville, Ind.

Our customer GLS Supply’s showroom staff formed a team to participate in the recent Birmingham Home Builders annual Co****le Tournament.
The team enjoyed great conversations, new connections and a little friendly competition. It was an opportunity to connect with builders, designers and industry pros who make up the local building community.
With 60 years of combined business experience in the plumbing supply industry, George Sudderth and Mark Summerville opened GLS Supply in Birmingham, Ala., in May 2001. Their facility features a 40,000-square-foot warehouse and a large showroom. They also have facilities with warehouse and showroom operations in Huntsville and Cullman, Ala. General Plumbing Supply recently hosted Employee Appreciation Night at the Somerset Patriots ball game. The Patriots are a professional Minor League Baseball team based in Bridgewater, N.J. They are the Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees.
