HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
One year ago, I stepped into the role of Operating Director for Cornerstone Caregiving of Anniston, AL.
I came into a new territory that I wasnโt quite sure of at the time, but it didnโt take long for this community to become a place I truly loved. Over the past year, I have had the privilege of building incredible relationships with clients, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community partners who have all played a part in making this journey so meaningful.
When I started, I set two goals for myself and this office.
Professionally, my goal was to reach 1,000 weekly hours of care being provided to the Anniston community.
Personally, I challenged myself to reach 1,500 weekly hours of care being provided to families in this community.
Today, I am incredibly proud to say that we have officially exceeded both goals.
But the numbers are only a small part of what makes this milestone so special. Every hour represents a family who trusted us, a client who allowed us into their home, and a caregiver who showed up with compassion and commitment to serve someone in need.
I could not be more proud of the team that has helped make this possible. Their dedication, hard work, and willingness to serve others have made this journey one I will never forget. I am equally grateful to the Anniston community for opening its doors to us and trusting Cornerstone Caregiving with the people who matter most.
At Cornerstone, our mission is more than simply providing care. It is about serving others with Compassion, Commitment, Character, and Community. The 4 Cโs are more than words on a wallโthey are values we strive to live out every single day.
One of my favorite verses says:
โFor we are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.โ โ 1 Corinthians 12:27
And I am reminded often of what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to serve, to love, to show compassion, and to be there for someone when they need it most.
What an incredible first year it has been.
Hereโs to the clients who trusted us, the families who welcomed us, the caregivers who serve selflessly, the partners who continue to believe in us, and an incredible community that has allowed us to grow.
One year down. So much more to come.
Thank you, Anniston, for allowing us to serve you. It is truly an honor.
