I would like to thank our Emergency Management Director (Brenda Garland), Madison Murray from our Town Office and a few of our firefighters for coming together and getting bottled water out to our community members today!

We also had a couple generous residents delivering water to a few people, knowing they were unable to make it out!

Thank you to our community for being patient with us and trusting the process.

Like all emergencies, they are rarely ever the same. This was a first for all of us and we had to take the proper steps for accessing a safe water supply for our residents.

NOTICE TO PUBLIC-
The Anson & Madison Water District issues A Do Not Drink the Water order for all customers as a result of an over-feed of fluoride into the water system.

The Do Not Drink Order is in effect until further notice.

Customers are ordered not to consume/use the water for:

Making ice cubes.
Food preparation.
Brushing teeth.
Any activity involving the consumption of water.
Customers should use bottled water for:

Brushing teeth.
Washing fruits and vegetables.
Preparing food and baby formula.
Making ice.
Giving to pets.

The order is in effect until Anson & Madison Water District, and the State of Maine Drinking Water Program are confident there is no longer a public health concern.

☆ Our new "forever" tree has been planted! ☆

• Thank you for our new tree donated by Quinn's Tree Farm!

• We took a chance trying to transplant the larger tree a few months ago, but the odds were just not in our favor.

Wells are starting to go dry again this year.. We currently have a limited supply of bottled drinking water from the Somerset County Emergency Management Agency for those in need. We are also filling jugs/containers for non drinking use.

• I've noticed most people who are in need of this offer is our older generations who do not have Facebook.. Please check on your "older" neighbors!
