I listened intently to both AHT Insight interviews with Jim Hagale of Hagale Family Arabians and then Peter and Lori Conway of Conway Arabians, who are teaming up to launch a new auction sale called Vision, and the name fits. It honors the best of our past, updates it for the realities of today, and carries a clear, confident Vision for the future.
Jim Hagale, Lori and Peter Conway gave extremely impressive interviews which were presented with absolute class and comprehensive thought.
Key points I took away:
• Family oriented breeding programs
• Highest Quality Production sale
• Stallion branded
• Credible valuation standards
• Highest quality young prospects
• Exciting and Entertaining
• NO RESERVE BIDDING
The motivation behind both breeders is clear: to create a credible, exciting auction environment that showcases the finest young prospects and attracts new people to the Arabian breed. This first year, they are offering just ten horses, five from each program, representing the very best of their breeding and stamped by their exceptional stallions.
These two families are not expecting immediate profits. What they are expecting is for these prospects to go on and succeed at the national level, bringing immense satisfaction to their new owners while simultaneously elevating their breeding programs and their stallions.
In the years to come, the true measure of success will be the success of these horses and the satisfaction of the people who purchase them. As that success builds the sale can expand, becoming a trusted marketing platform for breeders across the country and a reliable destination for buyers, both seasoned and new, who want access to the very best.
Their philosophy reminds me of a slogan from the past: 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘚𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘐𝘴 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘚𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴.
The Vision Sale has the potential to be an important step in the revitalization of our industry. My utmost respect goes to the Hagale and Conway families for having the courage and conviction to launch the Vision Sale. I encourage everyone to attend and support this auction on May 5th.
