A little shop update! 🫶🏻

After what feels like an eternity of packing, moving, and unpacking, I’m FINALLY getting settled into our new home!

I’ll be finishing up the shop setup today and will officially be back to work tomorrow morning! I’ll also be going through messages throughout the day today, so if you’ve been waiting to hear back from me, I’ll be getting back to you!

Thank you all so much for your patience while I’ve been moving and getting everything set up and settled in. I appreciate it more than you know! 💕

📢ALSO, a little something I figured I’d offer while I’m at it! 👀

While packing and unpacking all of my leather, I realized I have quite a bit of extra leather that would be perfect for inlays, fringe, and other custom details!

I could absolutely use all of it for stock inventory, BUT before I do, I figured I’d give my customers first dibs at a discounted rate!

I’ll be opening up a limited number of custom orders using these leathers at special pricing. These orders will not ship until January 2027, so please keep that in mind!

I’ll be sharing some of the available leathers and more details soon! 🫶🏻

📣 QUICK DJE UPDATE!

I will be unavailable and unreachable via messages, texts, calls, or other online communication until October 5th while I am in the process of moving and getting everything settled.

Please be patient with me during this time! 🤍 I will begin working through messages and getting back to everyone once I’m back and settled after the 5th.

If you send me a message during this time, please know I’m not ignoring you! I simply will not be monitoring or responding to messages while I’m moving.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding! 🫶🏻

Since I’ve now been asked directly, and I’ve also seen comments/posts suggesting otherwise, I want to make one thing clear: I do not run Better Behaving Bettys, nor am I affiliated with the page.

I am sharing this because I do agree with the way they have approached accountability compared to what I’ve personally witnessed from Badly Behaving Bettys.

I’m also not sharing this to personally attack Christina, and I’m not claiming she is the sole person behind Badly Behaving Bettys. However, this appears to show that she has at least been involved with the administration of the page, and I believe some of what has been posted through that platform has become incredibly reckless.

There is a difference between holding businesses accountable and using clickbait, drama and a large following to create a public dogpile without the full story. When you have that kind of platform…especially when engagement can financially benefit its creators, you have a responsibility to understand the very real effect your content can have on businesses, livelihoods, families and mental health.

We talk a lot about mental health after someone reaches a breaking point. We also need to talk about the behavior that can contribute to pushing someone there.

Please do not attack or harass Christina. That is not my intention whatsoever. This is about accountability going both ways.

*Pics of proof I am not apart of better behaving Bettie’s in the comments*

Dearest Bettys,

Daphne Basset has just dropped into our inbox… and my, what a scandalous little tale has arrived with her. 💌👀

It seems one shared post has managed to tell two very different stories.

In one version, the name “Posted by Cristina Thompson” appears ever so clearly beneath Badly Behaving Bettys.

And in the next? Why… it has mysteriously vanished, as though someone realized far too late that the mask had begun to slip.

So now, dear readers, the question making its way through the ton is simply this:

Have we just uncovered the woman behind Badly Behaving Bettys?

We shall not declare it fact.. not just yet. But when a name appears in one screenshot and disappears in another, one cannot help but notice that someone may have been caught with their calling card still attached.

How unfortunate for those who prefer to stir chaos from behind a curtain. And how delicious for those of us who appreciate a well-timed receipt.

It would seem the creator of the drama may have left her signature behind… if only for a moment.

XOXO,
Better Behaving Betty’s💋

✨ A Little DJE Business Update ✨

I’ve debated making a public statement about everything that has been going on lately, but I also feel like my customers deserve to hear directly from me.

There has been a situation involving a shipment that has unfortunately escalated far beyond a normal customer service issue. There have been public posts, accusations, and people reaching out to my friends and family. Because of that, law enforcement and my attorney are now involved, so I’m not going to get into the details publicly or participate in a back-and-forth online. At this point, it’s being handled through the proper channels.

I do want to clear up one thing, because I know seeing things online can understandably cause questions or concerns. Yes, I have gotten behind on some orders this year. I’m not going to make excuses for that. DJE has grown tremendously over the last 8 months, and keeping up with that growth as a one-woman business has been a learning curve.

I make every order myself, while also handling messages, invoices, supplies, shipping, customer communication, and everything else that comes with running a business. My inboxes have grown substantially, and unfortunately I do not always see every message or receive every notification. I do my best to keep everyone updated, but I am also human and there are times where things take longer than I intended.

That being said, I have completely reworked my schedule and budgeted out the time and materials needed to finish the outstanding orders. If you currently have an outstanding custom order with DJE, it is scheduled to be completed and shipped by the end of October at the very, very latest.

I know waiting longer than expected is frustrating, and I truly am sorry to anyone who has been waiting. My goal now is to get everyone who is currently waiting taken care of and then move forward with a much better system for managing the growth of DJE.

I also want to reassure everyone that the situation currently being discussed online is not a situation where I simply took someone’s money and disappeared or refused to communicate. I have been in contact regarding the shipment, and because the matter has now escalated into a legal/law enforcement situation, I am not going to discuss the specifics publicly.

I have also never intentionally left a customer without their order. If there has ever been an issue with an order, my goal has always been to communicate and find a way to remedy it. Nothing makes me happier than someone receiving their DJE piece and absolutely loving it. That is why I do what I do.

Because of everything I am currently working through, I will not be accepting any additional personal custom orders for the remainder of 2026. My focus is going to be getting caught up and then transitioning more heavily into in-stock and ready-to-ship pieces, which is something I have been wanting to do for quite a while. I have people messaging me constantly looking for pieces that are already available, and I’m really excited to finally be able to put more time into that side of DJE.

Any future bookings I take will be for 2027, which will give me the time needed to continue making everything myself without putting myself right back into the same situation.

Thank you to everyone who has been patient, understanding, supportive, and willing to give me the opportunity to get things caught up. DJE is a one-woman show, and while I’m incredibly proud of how much this business has grown, I also know I need to make changes to keep that growth manageable.

I truly appreciate everyone who has stuck with me through the growing pains. ❤️

I’m still here, I’m still working, and I’m still making your orders. 🖤✨

🚨 AWARD PRODUCERS!!! A FEW 2026 SPOTS JUST OPENED UP! 🚨

After looking over my production schedule and having a few producers move their award ceremony dates around, I unexpectedly have a little more availability for 2026 award orders!

✨ 2 end-of-November shipment spots
✨ 1 beginning-of-December shipment spot

After those are filled, we’re looking at 2027… which is already booking!

I currently only have 1–2 award order spots available per month for the first half of 2027, depending on order size.

Going into 2027, I’ll be putting a bigger focus on ready-to-ship stock, which means I’ll be taking on fewer large custom award orders. So if your event is already on the calendar, now is the time to get your shipment date secured.

🤎 Only a 25% deposit holds your shipment date.

đź‘€And for my BIG planners, pay your order in full and receive FREE fully insured shipping + lock in my 2026 pricing for your 2027 awards!

🏆 PRODUCER PRICING:
Producers receive 20% OFF when ordering 4 of a kind or more.

🔥 UP TO 50% OFF FOR 2027:
I’m also offering a limited number of my advertising trade opportunities, giving qualifying producers the opportunity to receive up to 50% OFF their custom awards in exchange for advertising Diamond J Equine at their event.

If you’re planning awards for late 2026 or the first half of 2027, don’t wait until your event gets closer. With only 1–2 spots available each month and fewer custom award orders being accepted next year, availability is going to fill much faster.

Message me with your event date, approximate award count, and what you have in mind, and we can get you on the schedule! 🫶🏻

🚨 BACK GATE ALERT — WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT WHAT WE’RE NORMALIZING.

This one isn’t funny. It isn’t gossip. And it isn’t about picking sides.

It’s about where accountability ends and public humiliation begins.

Badly Behaving Betty’s recently announced subscriber access to material coming into their inbox, an inbox they describe as containing tips, screenshots, stories, updates, and even: “rumors that need sorting out.”

That sentence should make every person in this industry uncomfortable.

Because when did rumors about real people become something we put behind a curtain and invite an audience to pay to see?

There is absolutely a place for accountability in the horse industry.

Expose proven scams.
Warn people about documented dangerous situations.
Share verified information that genuinely protects others.

But there is a very important word in all three of those sentences: PROVEN. DOCUMENTED. VERIFIED.

An accusation is not automatically a fact. A screenshot is not always the whole conversation. And a person being wrong about one thing does not give thousands of strangers permission to tear apart everything about who they are.

We watched exactly how quickly that can happen in our first Betty File.

A legitimate mistake involving the wrong photograph became a comment section discussing someone’s entire professional reputation, character, honesty, personal experiences and even alleged relationship with alcohol.

At what point did any of that become necessary to address the original mistake? THAT ISN’T ACCOUNTABILITY.

That is public humiliation wearing an accountability costume. And there is another part of this conversation that matters far more than Facebook engagement: MENTAL HEALTH.

Every name posted on these pages belongs to an actual human being.

Someone’s mother.

Someone’s daughter.

Someone’s best friend.

Someone trying to keep a business alive.

Someone who may already be struggling with things none of us know about.

You have absolutely no idea what someone is carrying when you invite thousands of people to pile onto them.

Some people can close Facebook and walk away. Some people cannot.

And someday, the wrong person is going to become the internet’s entertainment on the wrong day.

If that person reaches a breaking point, we don’t get to suddenly become mental-health advocates afterward.

We don’t get to share suicide-awareness posts and say: “I wish I would have known.”

Because this is us knowing. Right now.

We know public humiliation affects people. We know online harassment follows people into their real lives. We know words can have consequences that cannot be taken back. And we know that being imperfect, or even being wrong.. does not make someone less human.

Accountability says: “This is what you did. Here is the evidence. Make it right.”

Public shaming says: “This is who you are. Everyone come look.”

Those are not the same thing.

And when rumors, allegations and people’s lowest moments start becoming entertainment, or something that can generate revenue.. we need to seriously ask ourselves what kind of industry we are creating.

You can protect people without destroying people. You can expose wrongdoing without creating a spectacle. You can demand accountability without stripping someone of their dignity. And you can disagree with someone while remembering that there is a living, breathing human being reading what you type.

BECAUSE NO FOLLOWER COUNT, SUBSCRIPTION, VIRAL POST OR PIECE OF GOSSIP IS WORTH A HUMAN LIFE.

Better Behaving Betty’s will call out bad behavior.

Even when that bad behavior is happening under the banner of “calling out bad behavior.”

Maybe the horse industry doesn’t need more people standing around the arena waiting to see who gets dragged next.

Maybe it needs more people willing to say: ENOUGH. Hold people accountable. Post the facts. Show the receipts. Correct misinformation. Protect the community.

But never forget the human being on the other side of the screen. Because if we only remember that person’s humanity after something irreversible happens… we remembered it too late.

XOXO,
